You won’t believe us when we tell you Jess has naturally straight hair with a bit of a wave…now she’s a curly girl 😮‍💨♥️💫

So what did we do?… A 9-colour cocktailed bespoke colour and s**g creative curl cut (inspired by Conceptual Brands CONFAB 2026).

There’s a big difference between a knot… and hair that has become severely matted or formed into dreadlocks.

We’ve had a few little ones arrive recently with significant matting and while our team will always approach it with as much patience and care as possible, detangling can take far longer than a standard kids’ haircut appointment…and more importantly, it can be uncomfortable and sometimes painful for your child.

So, how do we stop it getting to that point? ✨

In this Mane Moment, Jennie talks through what causes matting, the signs to catch early and some simple habits that can make brushing much easier for everyone involved.

And when you do meet THAT knot… our salon holy grail is UNITE 7SECONDS Detangler. A few sprays, a little patience and suddenly the brush has a fighting chance 😂
