Ageing is a dynamic process involving changes in bone, fat, skin and supporting ligaments. With age, and particularly after menopause, accelerated bone resorption occurs in areas such as the temples, cheeks, pyriform aperture and jawline, while selective fat compartment deflation contributes to hollowing, jowls and loss of facial definition.
Equally important is skin and soft tissue laxity. Declining collagen, elastin and weakening of the fibroseptal network allow tissues to descend, often becoming the most significant contributor to an aged appearance.
While volume restoration can address structural loss, skin tightening technologies such as XERF help target the fibroseptal network, stimulating collagen remodelling and improving tissue support to tighten and help prevent progression of laxity.
Understanding which component is driving the ageing process is key to achieving natural and balanced rejuvenation.

Consultation is key in aesthetic medicine.
Not every treatment suits every face. We all have subtle differences in anatomy, ethnicity, bone structure, and ageing patterns, so treatment plans should never be one-size-fits-all.
Results vary from person to person, but knowing when not to treat is just as important as knowing how to treat. That judgement comes with experience, anatomical understanding, and managing expectations.
Correcting overfilled faces has become an increasingly common part of my practice. Often, this isn’t due to the product itself, but the cumulative effects of repeated treatments, chasing volume, or not adapting treatment plans as the face changes over time.
Aesthetics is evolving towards respecting facial anatomy, preserving natural proportions, and understanding that sometimes the best treatment is to say no. Less can often achieve more.
Jowls and loss of jawline definition are common concerns that develop with age, particularly during and after menopause. Declining oestrogen levels accelerate collagen depletion, facial fat loss, and bone resorption, contributing to sagging and a heavier lower face.
This treatment combines a biostimulator with strategic volume restoration to redefine the jawline, soften jowls, and improve support around the pre-auricular region. In addition to restoring contour, biostimulators help stimulate collagen production, gradually improving skin firmness and quality over time.
For suitable candidates, this can be an effective alternative for those not yet ready for a facelift or concerned about the downtime, cost, and recovery associated with surgery. Results can last over 2 years, depending on the individual and treatment plan.
A thorough consultation is essential to determine whether this approach is appropriate for your anatomy and goals.

Something exciting is coming… 👀
Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a brand-new website for Aesthetic Doctors Australia.
Clean. Minimalistic. Educational.
Rather than simply listing treatments, this website has been designed around the real concerns I see every day in clinic—whether it’s under-eye hollowing, facial sagging, volume loss, skin quality, or unwanted facial features.
My goal is to help you better understand why a concern occurs, the treatment options available, and how we can create a personalised plan that suits your face, not just follow trends.
A more thoughtful approach to aesthetics.
✨ XERF Skin Tightening ✨
Curious how XERF works? This video shows the treatment in action.
Unlike many energy-based treatments, XERF targets the fibroseptal network - the connective tissue framework that helps support and tighten the skin. By delivering controlled radiofrequency energy where it’s needed, we can stimulate collagen and improve skin firmness while preserving facial volume.
✔ No numbing required
✔ Minimal discomfort
✔ No downtime
✔ Supports collagen production
✔ Designed to tighten without targeting fat
Perfect for those looking for a natural approach to skin tightening and facial rejuvenation without taking time out of their busy schedule.
A consultation is essential to determine suitability, as not every treatment is right for every face.

How to improve tired look ?
This is a very challenging case of under eye rejuvenation.
Patient has a history of eczema
She initially presented with concern for eye bags and hollowing around the eyes
She doesn’t want a surgery ( aka blepheroplasty)
So we ended up doing under eye rejuvenation with volume treatment which also contains minerals and vitamins and one of the well known product around for under eye.
Goal - subtle improvement and improve tired look
As noted after picture is much softer which was taken a month after. She still has some hollowness
But that’s the beauty of aesthetics. We don’t need to make everyone perfect. Rather a fresh look approach
While she is working on her eczema , we plan to do some PRF treatment for under eyes for further improvement in skin quality
Realistic expectations !!!

This month was a success and busy period
Juggling business, hiring new staff and still trying to achieve patients best outcome 💯
Worried about injectable treatments?
Has watching videos about filler migration made you hesitant about cosmetic injectables?
It’s understandable. Increased awareness has encouraged patients to ask more questions and be more cautious about their treatment choices.
The reality is that injectable treatments are valuable tools when used appropriately and for the right indications. The issue is rarely the product itself. it’s how, where, and why it is used.
Not every treatment is suitable for every face, and not every concern should be treated with injectables. A thorough assessment, careful planning, and an understanding of facial anatomy are essential to achieving safe, natural-looking outcomes.
The key is choosing the right treatment for the right patient, at the right time.
A personalised consultation is always the most important step in determining what is appropriate for your individual needs.
This is an interesting case of nose correction
- presented for nose hump and tip correction
- ultrasound showed a artery in the middle of the nose which is where normally I inject
- without ultrasound it would be a guess game and she may have ended up with a complication called vascular occlusion which is basically “ filler inside a blood vessel “ and it can compromise skin
- luckily we avoided the problem and still managed to give her an improved outcome
A great example of why assessment comes before treatment and why safety always comes first
Non-Surgical Hip Dip Correction & Buttock Rejuvenation | Melbourne
Not everyone wants a dramatic BBL.
Many patients simply want smoother hip contours, improved curves, and better skin quality without looking overfilled or unnatural.
Using a combination of volumising injectables and biostimulators, we can address:
• Hip dips
• Mild buttock volume deficiency
• Buttock laxity
• Cellulite and skin texture concerns
• Overall contour and shape
This is a highly technical treatment area that requires careful assessment, planning, and anatomical knowledge. Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation to determine suitability and develop a personalised treatment plan.
For optimal results, treatment is sometimes performed in 2–3 stages, allowing the tissues to heal and adapt gradually while maintaining a natural appearance.
What to expect after treatment
• Minimal downtime (typically 24 hours)
• Can lie on your back immediately after treatment
• Avoid glute-focused workouts for 1 week
• Mild discomfort or tenderness for a few days is common
• No prolonged recovery period like a surgical BBL, which can require 4–6 weeks of restrictions
The goal is not to create an oversized buttock, but rather to restore balance, improve contours, and create elegant curves that complement your natural shape.
PS: If you’re seeing social media posts claiming 500–1000 mL of filler in the buttocks, please be cautious. Those volumes are neither realistic nor safe in injectable body contouring. Safety and natural results will always come first.
