When I rebranded to JY Beauty Lounge after my maternity leave, I rebranded with a mission and a very clear vision. To show my daughter that she could do anything she sets her mind to, to show her that self love and compassion were necessities in life, not luxuries.

I wanted to raise her so that she was confident, and give her the opportunities I never had, making the world her oyster.

Since losing her last year, I’ve tried so hard to keep going with that mission. To push through it all, even though she’s gone.

But the truth is, I can’t. It’s just not the same anymore.

People say that grief gets easier with time, but the truth is I feel worse with every day that goes by. My heart is in a million pieces and I’m still trying to find a way to pick up what’s left of it, but to do that I need to let something go…

It’s with that, that I am regrettably closing the doors on this chapter, something I never thought I would do.

As of February 2025 I will be saying goodbye to JY Beauty Lounge and everything that goes with it.

Thank you to every single one of you for your support over the years and especially these last 6 months, it would never have been possible without you, but it’s time to take my own advice and listen to what my heart and soul need in this new (s**tty) season of life. Because self care is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.
