You're not just clients to me—you've become so much more than that. After reading all your messages, I honestly feel so loved and supported.
I'm out of hospital now, and with the help of my long-time bestie and my kids, I'm starting to sort out the next part of this mess. I'll be doing my main recovery in Albany with M&D.

To all the clients whose appointments I've had to postpone, thank you so much for your understanding, patience, and support. I appreciate every single one of you more than you know.

Recovery is going to take some time, so for now I'm taking it one day at a time. I'll be back doing what I love as soon as my body lets me. Until then, thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and reminding me that I'm surrounded by such an incredible community. ❤️

Over the last four years we've travelled thousands of kilometres together.
You gave me the strength to keep on keeping on, a bed to sleep in, and the freedom to build my business while exploring WA. We've shared countless adventures and made memories I'll never forget.

A couple of days ago, you saved my life but lost your wheels. I'll be forever grateful for the travels we had.

As I recover from my injuries, I will be closed for approximately 6–12 weeks, depending on how my recovery progresses goes. I'm alive, I'm breathing and my injury is fixable.

Thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding, and support during this time. Many appointments are postponed and I'll be in contact with future appointments when I'm ok.

This little legend, just 8 years old, sat like an absolute trooper from start to finish. He already had some partially natural dreads, which gave me the perfect base to create a full dready look.
He loves his curls, so we left the tails to keep that natural style. ❤️

✨ A good tidy up ✨

This install was done by someone else, so there was a bit to work through with these dreads. We tackled loose extensions, unblunted ends, and some root maintenance that needed attention.

There had been quite a bit of change happening in a short period of time, and his dreads were feeling quite solid which made the root work a little more challenging than expected.

Every set of dreads is different — they form differently depending on hair type, methods used, lifestyle, and even the environment. The goal is always to work with what’s there, bring them back into shape, and help them continue their journey.

For now, his dreads just need some time to relax after everything they’ve been through. With patience, care, and time, they will hopefully soften up and settle into a more natural feel as they continue to mature 🌞

He rang me about 8 weeks ago for maintenance, but I’d just had surgery so I couldn’t do him.

He decided to drive 16 hours (1,600km) to Perth to get them done elsewhere, but didn’t go through with it. Technique is important for this guy.

So he had a bit of a visit in Perth and headed home and wait for me to be back up his way.

These are my “Medusa dreads” — the fattest dreads I work on. A lot of technique goes into these, definitely not your average set.

I was a tad excited, nervous, and everything in between seeing this client again 🫶

I did his install 12 months ago, and this was the first time he’d had maintenance. After his install, I told him to trust the process… and he definitely did.

❤️Fluffy Buddies👌 His dreads had softened, fluffed up, and started taking on their own shape — exactly how dreads are meant to evolve over time. He had a few little snags that needed attention, which I cleaned up, and I added some beads to help flatten out a few lumps as his dreads continue to grow and mature.

This is a great example that dreads don’t necessarily need constant maintenance when the right advice is given and followed. Sometimes giving your dreads time to do their thing is part of the process.

Overall, I’m super stoked with how his dreads have formed, and even more stoked that he trusted the journey and followed the advice. 🙌
