Twelve years of optometry, and I still hear this every September: "my eyes get better once winter's over." Sometimes, a little. Heating dries the air, and that's real. But the mechanism behind gritty eyes, blink rate dropping on a screen and less oil reaching the lid margin because of it, doesn't check the calendar. Screens don't take spring off. A normal blink rate is twelve to fifteen a minute. Focused on a screen, that drops to five to seven.
