I can help to fix these restrictions, and instead of having a horse that is stiff, struggles with canter transitions, is unsound or cranky, and is generally difficult to ride, you could have a supple, straight, balanced, willing riding partner!

Not only that, I can also teach you the skills you need to ease your horse’s discomfort in between my visits.

A combination of equine bodywork/massage, photonic red light therapy, dry needling, kinesiology taping and stretching is used to provide optimal support for horses working in every discipline. My aim is to work with your team (vets, owners, riders, coaches, saddle fitters and other musculoskeletal therapists) in order to provide the best whole-body treatment tailored for your horse.

I have extensive experience (and a whole lot of degrees) working with horses, including roles in Australia and the UK as a sport development officer for an equestrian organisation, riding coach, equine instructor/assessor at an agricultural college, equine course manager/lecturer at a university, and education officer for the RSPCA. Having owned horses for many years, I understand the requirements of multiple disciplines within equestrian sport, fitness and training schedules and the importance of maintaining your horses peak physical and mental condition whether you are riding for pleasure or at an elite level. Equine Muscle Matters was launched in 2016 and is based in Greenbank Qld, and services most of the South East Queensland area.
