What does the downtime after skin needling actually look like? 👀
Skin needling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, so some downtime afterwards is expected. Your skin has just been given a job to do.
For the first 24–48 hours, redness, warmth, mild swelling and sensitivity are common. Your skin may look a little like you've had some sun exposure.
Over the next 2–5 days, the redness usually settles, but you may notice dryness, tightness or light flaking as the skin recovers.
During this time, keep things simple. Avoid active skincare, exfoliation, excessive heat, strenuous exercise and direct sun exposure. Follow your recommended aftercare and be consistent with SPF.

It’s been a busy one in the clinic. Lots of treatments, plenty of product restocks and some fresh faces coming through the doors.

Progress after just 5 days 👀
My client’s skin was presenting with visible redness, inflammation across the chest.
We started with DMK Enzyme Therapy, helping to support circulation, lymphatic drainage and healthy skin function.
Just five days after her first treatment, you can already see a noticeable reduction in redness and inflammation, with the skin looking much more even across the area.
And this is only the beginning. These are early results after one treatment, with further improvement being something we’ll continue working towards over time.

After hours at the clinic 🌙
For anyone working the usual 9–5 who finds it almost impossible to squeeze in a skin appointment during the day, the clinic stays open a little later twice a week.
Tuesdays until 7pm and Wednesdays until 6pm, giving you time to finish work and head in without having to rearrange your entire day.

A little something exciting for October... ✈️🌴
I’ll be heading to Cairns for the Skin Is In Summit 2026!!
Joining other clinic owners and managers for three days of education, connection and industry development. There’ll be advanced skin education, business development and plenty of new knowledge to bring back into MK Skin.
I’ll be out of the clinic from 18–20 October, so if you’re due for an appointment around then, keep those dates in mind when booking.

You know the treatment is good when the skin therapist gets it herself 😌
Any opportunity I get to have DMK Enzyme Therapy, I’m taking it.
This treatment is designed to support circulation and lymphatic drainage, helping move excess fluid through the tissues while supporting healthy skin function. Once it comes off, my skin always feels incredibly fresh, firm and smooth, with that post-enzyme glow we all love.
It’s one of those treatments where you can actually feel like you’ve had something done, without relying on an aggressive approach.
I recommend it to my clients regularly, and yes, I’ll happily take my own advice on this one.

Meet Jess, our new Clinic Manager at MK Skin. 🤍
As MK Skin continues to grow, so does the team behind it, and welcoming Jess feels like a very exciting next chapter for the clinic.
Some of you may actually recognise Jess, as she worked alongside me when I first opened MK Skin. Having her back now, at a completely different stage of the clinic, feels like a bit of a full-circle moment. 🥹
She’ll be helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting our clients and being a familiar face around the clinic.
What started as one treatment room and a big idea is slowly becoming something much bigger, and I’m incredibly proud of where MK Skin is heading.
