Unfortunately this is becoming more and more common 😞 As a fully qualified nail tech this grinds my gears because it’s so avoidable and is simply just laziness!
I understand that nail bars are convenient but that doesn’t mean they care about you or your nails, you are just a number to them and all they want is your money for doing a sub par job.
95% of nail bars (not saying all) have had absolutely no training at all by a registered nail educator. To become a QUALIFIED Nail Tech you need training in:
* Nail Diseases
* Nail Disorders
* Application
* Nail Anatomy
* Sanitisation
* Sterilisation
* Filing
* Shaping
* Drill use
* Gel X, Acrylic, SNS, BIAB, Hard Gel, Polygel
And so much more.
Most of these nail bars use products that contain Methacrylate also known as MMA because it’s cheap and easy to obtain from their country, Shein Temu, Amazon etc. MMA is extre dangerous and can cause serious life long health issues which I will explain in another post.
Don’t be afraid to ask the questions who you get your nails done by like:
* What training have you had?
* Do your products contain MMA?
* What are your sterilisation steps?
