My social media game might be slightly behind but thankfully my massage skills aren’t. 😆
It’s easy to look at social media and assume it tells us the whole story about someone their experience, qualifications, knowledge or success.
But a polished feed doesn’t necessarily equal experience, and a quiet one certainly doesn’t mean someone has stopped learning, working or growing.
Social media is a snapshot.
Behind Instagram is nearly 20 years of hands on massage experience, continued learning, thousands of bodies worked on and a genuine love for what I do.
Meet me here in my Newstead studio, Monday–Thursday.
& Relax
We’re so used to filling every spare minute that sometimes doing less feels like doing nothing.
But slowing down doesn’t have to mean taking the whole day off. It can be found in the little things:
* Take your morning coffee outside and leave your phone inside.
* Go for a walk without worrying about pace, steps or distance.
* Sit in the sun for 10 minutes.
* Cook something slowly, just because you enjoy it.
* Put your phone on silent for an hour.
* Spend time in the garden.
* Read a few pages of a book.
* Take five slow, deep breaths.
* Book a massage. 😉
* Or simply do absolutely nothing for a little while without feeling guilty about it.
Your nervous system needs moments where there’s nowhere to be and nothing to achieve.
Life moves fast. You don’t always have to. 🌿

Taking time to relax doesn’t have to mean doing nothing. Sometimes it’s simply finding the thing that helps your mind slow down and your body breathe a little easier. 🌿
For me, it’s my morning walk with Gus n Flo around our farm. Fresh air, trees, birds and muddy paws. It’s such a simple thing, but it’s one of my favourite ways to start the day feeling grounded and relaxed.
Relaxation looks different for everyone.
What does relaxing look like for you? 🌱

Fire cupping is one of my favourite techniques to use when it’s appropriate for a client.
Contrary to what some people think, there is no fire left inside the cup. A flame is briefly introduced to remove the oxygen, creating a gentle vacuum. The cup is then placed on the skin, where it naturally lifts the tissue.
From there, I simply watch the cups do what they do.
I don’t believe in placing cups and walking away. Every client responds differently, so I stay in the room, monitoring the tissue and making decisions based on what I’m seeing. Sometimes the cups are only on for a short time because, in my experience, less is often more.
Cupping isn’t about leaving really dark marks (yet sometimes unavoidable) or seeing how long a cup can stay on. It’s about using the right amount of pressure, for the right amount of time, to encourage movement through the tissues in a safe and considered way.
Give it go in your next session, I don’t change extra for adding cupping or hot stones or hot towels.

Being stressed sucks and it can be happening when we don’t even realise. That “fight or flight” mode. Muscles start to tighten, breathing becomes more shallow, sleep suffers, and aches can linger for longer.
Massage can help switch your body into “rest and restore” mode by calming the nervous system. This can:
• Slow your heart rate
• Reduce muscle tension
• Improve sleep
• Lower stress levels
• Leave you feeling more relaxed and present
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your body isn’t to push harder as I usually do myself 😂. It is to give your nervous system a chance to unwind.
I love a massage and sauna session for unwinding days

Hi everyone. I’m reaching out to ask for support for this GoFundMe. Our favourite superstar Lucy needs our love and support.
Whether you can donate or simply share the fundraiser, every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. Here’s the link:

And Relax… mostly 😌
I love my little home studio. Most days it’s peaceful, cosy and the perfect place to switch off from the outside world.
But every now and then life reminds us that we don’t actually control everything. Like when the lawn mowing crew arrives days early and suddenly it sounds like they’re trimming the grass directly under the massage table. 😂
I once had an enquiry asking if my studio was completely silent. The truth is, most of the time it is. But sometimes a mower starts up, a dog barks, a rooster has an opinion, or the wind decides to put on a performance.
My yoga teacher in India once said:
“If one little mosquito can disturb your peace, what chance do you have in life?”
Now, to be fair, one little mozzie still annoys the absolute s**t out of me. 😆
But maybe relaxation isn’t about waiting for perfect silence. Maybe it’s about finding calm amongst the chaos, taking a breath, and remembering that life is beautifully imperfect.
The lawn mower will finish.
The mozzie will eventually leave.
And we’ll keep doing our best to relax anyway. 💚
