What Is PRX Plus? | Michelle Casey

PRX Plus is a topical, non-injectable biostimulation treatment applied to the skin by a trained practitioner. It may be considered for concerns relating to skin texture, tone, pigmentation and visible skin laxity, depending on individual skin characteristics and assessment.

A single session may be considered in some cases, while a course of approximately four treatments at two-week intervals may be recommended when addressing longer-term skin concerns.

The appropriate number and timing of treatments will depend on the treatment area, skin condition, individual response and clinical assessment.

A consultation is required to determine suitability, discuss expected outcomes and review potential risks and aftercare.

A Guide To PRF... | Dr Luis Torres Villacorta (MED0002049692) Cosmetic Doctor

Platelet-rich fibrin, or PRF, is prepared using a sample of the patient’s own blood. The sample is processed to form a fibrin matrix containing platelets and white blood cells.

Depending on individual assessment, PRF may be considered for the under-eye area, skin texture, selected scarring or hair restoration.

PRF may form part of an individualised treatment plan depending on anatomy, medical history and other clinical factors. Suitability varies, and multiple treatments may be required.

A consultation is required to determine suitability and discuss potential risks, limitations and expected outcomes.

When Will You See Your IPL Results? | Michelle Casey

The timeframe for changes and downtime following IPL varies depending on the concern being treated, individual skin characteristics, treatment settings and the number of sessions completed.

When treating general redness or flushing, temporary skin redness may be present for approximately 24 to 48 hours. Changes may develop over several weeks, and multiple treatments may be considered depending on the individual assessment.

When treating pigmentation or sun-related skin changes, the treated pigment may temporarily darken and gradually come away over approximately 10 to 12 days. Timeframes vary between individuals.

IPL may be considered depending on individual anatomy, skin characteristics, medical history and the area being treated. Suitability varies.

A consultation is required to determine suitability and discuss the proposed treatment process, expected downtime and potential risks.

FAQ | Can A Tummy Tuck Repair Separated Abdominal Muscles?

Abdominal muscle separation occurs when the connective tissue between the abdominal muscles widens. This can contribute to a central abdominal bulge or a weaker-feeling core.

In some patients, an abdominoplasty may include muscle repair. This involves bringing the separated abdominal muscles closer together to support the abdominal wall and may contribute to a flatter, firmer abdominal shape.

Muscle repair may be considered depending on individual anatomy and the degree of separation.

A consultation is required to determine suitability and whether it may form part of the procedure, as suitability varies.

Fleur De Lis Vs Full Abdominoplasty | Dr Gary Kode (MED0001405964) Specialist Plastic Surgeon (ANZBCPS)

A full abdominoplasty removes excess skin through a horizontal incision, addressing skin laxity across the abdomen.

A fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty includes an additional vertical incision. This allows excess skin and laxity to be addressed in both vertical and horizontal directions.

This approach may be considered for patients with skin laxity in multiple directions, depending on individual anatomy and the distribution of excess skin. Suitability varies.

A consultation is required to determine suitability and discuss the procedure, incision pattern, recovery and potential risks.

Exosomes Skin Needling Vs Factor4® Skin Needling | Michelle Casey

Factor4® is prepared from a sample of the patient’s own blood, which is processed and incubated before being used during skin needling. Topical numbing cream may be required, and downtime may extend for several days depending on the treatment approach and skin concern, including pigmentation or scarring.

Exosome skin needling uses a non-autologous topical formulation containing cell-signalling components. It may involve a more superficial needling approach, may not require topical numbing cream and may have a shorter recovery period. Individual experiences vary.

The main differences relate to the source of the formulation, treatment approach, numbing requirements and expected recovery. Suitability varies depending on individual anatomy, skin condition, medical history and treatment preferences.

A consultation is required to determine suitability and discuss the treatment approach that may be appropriate for you.

Skin Needling Options | Michelle Casey

When considering skin needling, the approach may vary depending on individual skin concerns, sensitivity and recovery preferences.

For general age-related skin concerns, N50 Exosomes and Factor 4 may both be considered as part of an individual treatment plan.

Factor 4 may be discussed where the skin is compromised or particularly sensitive. It contains naturally derived cytokines, which may be considered when sensitivity is a key concern.

N50 Exosomes may be considered for general skin concerns where a patient is also considering anticipated downtime.

Both options may be discussed across a range of skin conditions. The most appropriate approach depends on an assessment of the skin, individual concerns, medical history and treatment requirements.

A consultation is required to determine suitability and discuss which treatment option may be appropriate.
