More than a massage class 💜

Parents come to baby massage classes to learn how to massage their baby.

They learn practical techniques, how to adapt massage time to their baby's cues and how to build massage into life at home.

But learning alongside other families can bring something else too.

Questions that seemed uniquely theirs may turn out to be familiar to someone else. Babies feed, sleep, cry or need a cuddle during class. Parents see that there isn't one "right" way for a baby to behave during massage time.

Over a series of classes, parents may get to know one another as they learn together. Conversations develop naturally around their babies and the shared experience of learning infant massage, and sometimes those connections continue beyond the class itself.

None of this takes the focus away from infant massage.

Massage is what brings families together. The shared experience that grows around it can become another valuable part of the experience.

That, too, is part of what a well-facilitated baby massage class can offer.
