Understanding curls changes everything

When diffusing, if you want maximum elongation and minimal frizz, I suggest hovering over your hair rather than scrunching your curls into the diffuser bowl.
Why?
Moving air around the hair instead of roughing up the cuticles keeps individual curl clumps intact, and it sets a strong gel cast. This means that the curls aren't disrupted as they're being dried, and it prevents shrinkage caused by scrunching while the hair is soaking wet.

For many clients, their relationship with their hair is emotional.
Some have spent years straightening their hair. Others have left salons disappointed after receiving cuts that didn't work for their texture. And many have invested significant time and money searching for solutions.
When a curly client sits in your chair, they're bringing all of those experiences with them.
So rather than simply cutting, styling, and sending them on their way. I want my guests' experience with me to be full of empowerment and education.
