Hello from Cotton Tree ☀️

As we start a new week, I'd love to properly introduce myself and the clinic. I'm Rebecca, owner of The Age Well Room. I grew up in Berkshire, and these days I'm lucky to call the Sunshine Coast home.

I opened The Age Well Room as a calm, unhurried space for adults who want thoughtful, honest support with their skin, their pelvic floor health or body treatments. No pressure, no hard sell, just a proper conversation about what you'd like help with and what's realistic for you.

Every treatment starts with a consultation. I'll explain what a treatment can and can't do, whether it suits you, and what's involved, so you can decide in your own time.

Did you know that not all plasma skin treatments are suitable for every skin tone?

This is one of the reasons I love having both Plasma Pen and Fusion8 Warm Plasma at The Age Well Room.

Traditional Plasma Fibroblast creates tiny, controlled injuries on the skin’s surface. For darker skin tones, this carries a greater risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), where the skin produces excess pigment during healing.

That’s why I don’t offer traditional Plasma Pen fibroblast treatment to darker skin types.

Fusion8 Warm Plasma is different.

It uses non-ablative plasma technology, meaning it can stimulate a skin response without creating the same visible carbon crusts associated with Plasma Pen.

Warm Plasma is designed to support collagen production, improve skin texture and encourage skin rejuvenation.

Because it works differently, it may be a more appropriate option for some clients with darker skin tones.

However, darker skin still requires careful assessment, appropriate settings and consideration of pigmentation risk.

Your skin tone shouldn’t mean missing out on skin treatments. It means choosing the right technology.

You’ve looked after your face for years. But what about your neck?

The neck is often one of the first places we notice changes in skin firmness, texture and elasticity.

And sometimes, no matter how much moisturiser you apply, that loose, crepey appearance doesn’t seem to improve.

Plasma Fibroblast may be an option for treating certain areas of skin laxity, including the neck.

It works by creating controlled points on the skin’s surface to encourage a tightening and remodelling response.

It’s not suitable for every skin type or degree of laxity, and there is downtime involved.

So why might your pelvic floor still need attention?

Because pelvic floor strength isn’t automatically the same as overall fitness.

Pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, ageing and other factors can affect these muscles, even in otherwise active people.

The Pelvic Floor Chair at The Age Well Room uses non-invasive muscle stimulation while you sit comfortably, fully clothed, for 30 minutes.

It may be a useful addition to an individual pelvic floor management plan, depending on your symptoms.

YOUR UPPER LIDS AREN’T THE WHOLE STORY.
Sometimes I need to look at the FULL eye area.

When someone asks me about an eye lift, I don’t automatically look only at their upper eyelids.

I look at the eye area as a whole.

Upper eyelid skin.

Under-eye skin.

Fine lines.

Crow’s feet.

Skin quality.

And how those areas work together.

For a suitable client, my Full Eye Plasma Fibroblast treatment allows me to approach the eye area more comprehensively rather than treating one isolated concern.

But sometimes I’ll recommend treating less.

And sometimes I’ll recommend something completely different.

The treatment should fit your eyes. Your eyes shouldn’t have to fit the treatment.

Take a moment to look, feel, and pay attention to any new or unusual changes—including lumps, swelling, skin changes, ni**le changes, or changes in breast shape or size.

If something feels different, don’t ignore it. Speak with your healthcare provider and stay up to date with recommended breast cancer screenings.

Early awareness matters. Know your breasts. Know your body. 💗

What you do next matters.

Had Plasma Fibroblast treatment? Your skin now needs time and gentle care while it heals.

✨ Don’t pick or scratch the tiny carbon crusts. Allow them to fall away naturally.

✨ Keep the area clean and dry during the initial healing period and avoid rubbing or exfoliating the treated skin.

✨ No makeup over the treatment area until the carbon crusts have naturally fallen away.

✨ SPF50+ every morning to protect the healing skin.

✨ Advanced Healing Repair cream each evening, as provided by me.

✨ Ice is your best friend. Keeping the area cool helps calm and sooth the skin.

✨ Avoid unnecessary sun exposure while your skin is healing.

And remember, Day 1 is not your final result. Plasma Fibroblast involves a healing and remodelling process, so give your skin time. 🤍

This before and after shows a Full Eye Plasma Fibroblast treatment just 24 hours apart, not the final result.

At this stage, the skin is still very much in the healing phase. You can see the treatment points, and swelling around the delicate eye area can be expected.

The exciting part? We’re only at the beginning of the journey.
