One of my patients recently shared this video with me documenting her skin healing journey following her second Alma OPUS Plasma RF resurfacing treatment.
I always appreciate when patients take the time to record their healing journey because it gives others a better understanding of what to expect after skin resurfacing.
Following treatment the skin goes through different stages of recovery. You may notice redness, swelling, dryness and tiny dark dots called microcrusts.
These tiny dots are small scabs that form in the treated areas. They gradually dry up and naturally shed as the skin heals.
In this video you can follow her recovery from the early healing stages through to her later skin appearance.
OPUS Plasma uses controlled radiofrequency energy to support skin renewal and collagen remodelling over time.
One thing I always remind my patients is that even when the skin looks healed on the surface, collagen remodelling continues underneath for weeks and months.
Every patient’s skin responds differently. Skin type, pigmentation, treatment intensity and aftercare all influence the healing process.
This is why I place so much importance on patient education and proper aftercare. The treatment is only one part of the journey.

Lip Pigmentation & Natural Symmetry لون الشفايف الطبيعي وتناسق شكله
Did you know that natural lip pigmentation can influence how we perceive lip shape and symmetry? تدرون ان لون الشفايف الطبيعي ممكن يأثر على شلون نشوف شكل الشفايف وتناسقها؟
Some people naturally have lighter or uneven pigmentation along the vermilion border, which is the natural outline of the lips. بعض الناس بطبيعتهم يكون لون الشفايف فاتح او التصبغ مو متساوي خصوصا عند حدود الشفايف الخارجية اللي نسميها الـ Vermilion Border.
When this border is less visible, one side of the lips may appear less defined than the other, even when the underlying anatomy is relatively balanced. لما تكون حدود الشفايف مو واضحة بسبب قلة التصبغ ممكن جهة تبين اصغر او اقل تحديدا من الجهة الثانية حتى لو شكل الشفايف الطبيعي متقارب
Options for enhancing lip definition:
• Lip Pencil: A temporary cosmetic option to enhance the appearance of the natural lip border and create a more balanced outline.
• Lip Blush Cosmetic Tattooing: A semi-permanent cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the appearance of natural lip colour and definition. Results vary depending on individual pigmentation, skin characteristics and healing response.
Lip asymmetry can also be related to natural differences in anatomy, muscle movement and tissue structure.
Not every difference in lip appearance requires additional volume.

CASE STUDY | Alma UNIFACE
This result is a good example of why collagen treatments require patience.
Our patient’s goal was subtle refinement — improved skin firmness, support and facial contour without changing her natural features.
Alma UNIFACE uses UniPolar radiofrequency to create controlled deep dermal heating. This thermal stimulation targets existing collagen and encourages new collagen formation and ongoing collagen remodelling.
The important part: collagen takes time.
Some patients may notice an earlier tightening effect, but the biological remodelling process continues after treatment. Results are therefore progressive rather than instant, and several treatments may be required to see the full benefit.
In this patient, we’re looking at the overall change in:
• Skin firmness and tissue support
• Jawline and lower-face definition
• Skin quality
• Overall facial refinement

Dry or cracked lips need consistent hydration and gentle exfoliation to help maintain a smooth healthy lip surface.
And remember 🧬 lips are a little like brows: they’re sisters not twins.
Natural differences can exist between each side due to:
• The shape of the lip and vermilion border
• Natural asymmetry in the lip outline
• Differences in lip pigmentation
• Variations in volume and tissue structure
Sometimes reduced pigment or definition on one side can create the illusion that the lips are more uneven than they actually are.
For subtle differences a well-placed lip liner can help create more definition. For longer-lasting enhancement a soft lip blush treatment may help define the vermilion border and improve the appearance of pigment balance.
The goal isn’t perfectly identical lips 🧬 it’s refined balanced lips that still look like you.
الشفايف الجافة او المتشققة تحتاج ترطيب مستمر وتقشير خفيف حتى نحافظ على نعومة وصحة الشفايف.
وتذكروا الشفايف مثل الحواجب خوات مو توام 👄
طبيعي يكون اكو اختلاف بسيط بين جهة وجهة بسبب:
• شكل الشفة وحدودها
• الاختلاف الطبيعي بين الجهتين
• اختلاف لون وصبغة الشفايف
• اختلاف بسيط بالحجم وتركيبة الانسجة
مرات يكون لون الشفة اخف او حدودها اقل وضوح بجهة وحدة وهذا ممكن يعطي ايحاء ان الشفايف مو متساوية حتى لو الفرق الحقيقي بالشكل والحجم بسيط.
اذا الفرق بسيط ممكن نستخدم محدد الشفايف حتى نوضح الحدود اكثر. واذا نريد نتيجة تدوم اطول ممكن نسوي Lip Blush خفيف وطبيعي حتى نحدد حدود الشفة ونوازن مظهر اللون.

The Atina Nouvele Biological 3R Protocol™
Repair • Rebuild • Refine
This patient presented with under-eye hollowing and dark circles. Rather than treating the concern in isolation, we assessed the skin and tissue quality and created a staged treatment plan using our Biological 3R Protocol™.
REPAIR
We began with 2 sessions of Rejuran I, focusing on supporting the delicate under-eye skin and improving overall skin quality.
REBUILD
We introduced 1 session of Opus Plasma RF to support controlled tissue remodelling, texture and firmness.
REFINE
Now we reassess. We look at what has improved, what remains, and whether further treatment is appropriate — rather than automatically adding more.
2 months from her initial treatment. Still a work in progress.
