Last Saturday my sister Jodie jodiegriffithhayes and i held our annual Girls Day In fundraiser for the Cancer Council Victoria With all proceeds going towards research into women’s cancers. This was our 15th year. 💕💕

It’s also October and that is check your b***s month ladies. 🍈🍈

We had 143 ladies enjoying our event raising a massive $24,400 dollars our biggest donation ever. WOW 💕💕 That takes our total to over $100,000 raised in total ..

Christmas is coming around quickly ladies only 10 weeks away.

November and December book up quickly and i am away from 28th November- 3rd December so book an appointment asap.

This week marks 30 years of Nursing for me at Sandringham Hospital! i know how can i be that old you ask 😂.

I started as a young 22 yo in the Surgical ward , then had 5 years at Monash Medical Centre learning how to be an Emergency Nurse whilst still at Sandy working in the ED followed by 17 more years and now finishing up my career in the Urgent Care clinic at Sandy Hospital..
You don’t stay at workplace that long without amazing colleagues and i have had the very best.

The management has come and gone good and bad and i have often wondered why i stayed in Nursing some times but helping my community, saving lives and making people feel safe, making them better and caring for them on some of their darkest days has been oh so rewarding..

Nursing is a lot , you give yourself to your patients and their families whole heartedly and then have to go home and give yourself to your family somedays with pure exhaustion and then you do it all again with a smile tomorrow and the next day. 😘
