After chemotherapy, her hair had changed. We chose a light hair topper and cut and shaped it to work with her own hair, giving her soft coverage and a natural finish.

Hair loss during chemotherapy can make an already difficult time feel very public. Women often tell me, “I just want to go through this without everyone knowing what I’m going through.”

That stays with me. Sometimes it’s about looking in the mirror and seeing a little more of yourself again. And sometimes it’s simply about being able to walk into a room without your hair telling your story before you’re ready to.

At school, she was teased horribly because of her fine hair, and those experiences stayed with her for years, deeply affecting her confidence.

Fast forward to 2026… ✨

Hair toppers have completely changed what is possible for women with fine and thinning hair.

For her, we chose a beautiful lace hair topper with the perfect root and highlights to complement her skin tone and blend naturally with her own hair.

Then came my favourite part — using my hairdressing experience to cut, shape and integrate the topper with her biological hair so it truly felt like her.

She hasn’t become someone different. She simply has the hair she always wished she had.

And most importantly, giving a woman back something she should never have had taken from her in the first place — confidence.

POV: you compliment a woman’s hair in a clothing store… and 10 minutes later you’re in the change room getting fitted for a hair topper. 😂

We’d finished two days of consulting in Adelaide and were heading to the airport when we thought we’d quickly stop into this gorgeous clothing store in North Adelaide.

That “quick stop” did not go to plan.

I’m browsing away when I hear, “Oh my God, I LOVE your hair.”

So naturally, I unclipped my topper right there in the shop.

“OH MY GOD. I WANT ONE.”

By pure luck, all my tools were still with me from the consultations.

So instead of shopping like normal people, we ended up in the change room, cape on, tools out, customising a hair topper before heading to the airport.

One minute I’m shopping.
Next minute I’ve opened a Cosmetic Hair Co salon between the dresses.

You genuinely could not script my life and I’m loving it!
