Let's find out. HIFU stands for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound, an advanced, non-invasive treatment technology that uses focused ultrasound energy to target specific depths beneath the skin's surface without damaging the outer layers.

Ultrasound waves/energy are delivered to the skin by bypassing the outermost layer/epidermis, targeting the dermis where collagen and elastin fibers are located. The ultrasound energy heats the dermis up to 60-70 degrees Celsius, creating a thermal shock to the collagen and elastin fibers, resulting in immediate skin tightening. Conversely, the temperature in the dermis stimulates fibroblast cells, thus producing new collagen and elastin fibers. This regeneration process can take up to 3 months to complete.
