Today marks 3 months as an intern at Social Star, and what a great experience it has been so far!

Since beginning my internship, I’ve had the opportunity to get involved in so many different areas of marketing.

From brainstorming new content ideas to learning more about the process and strategy behind the work we do here, I’ve been able to apply what I’ve learnt throughout my studies while also developing new knowledge and skills.

The standout for me so far has been getting hands-on experience with real projects and seeing how much thought and strategy goes into creating effective marketing content.

I’ve really enjoyed being part of the Social Star team, learning from everyone around me, and gaining a better understanding of what marketing agency life actually looks like.

I’m excited to keep learning and see what the rest of my internship has in store! 🥳

Star of the Month… she’s on a roll!

A huge congratulations to Julia, our latest Star of the Month and clearly one win wasn’t enough, because she also took out the title back in June! 👏

Julia has stepped up massively over the past few months, taking on additional responsibilities, independently managing her client accounts and supporting our newest group of interns along the way. Her dedication, resourcefulness and ability to keep everything moving came through loud and clear in the team’s votes.

But in true Julia fashion, she manages to do it all while still bringing plenty of energy and personality to the office. As one of her votes put it, “It’s never a boring day when she’s around.” 😂

Two Star of the Month wins in just a few months… we’d say she’s officially on a roll! Congratulations Julia, very well deserved! 💛🌟

Employee of the Month… AGAIN!

A huge congratulations to Pearly, who has taken out Employee of the Month for the second time in just a few months!

Pearly has stepped up massively lately, taking on more client accounts and responsibility while continuing to support our interns and Marketing Coordinators. What stood out most in the team’s votes was just how much of a team player she is - always approachable, patient and willing to share her knowledge, while knowing when to step up and lead.

It makes this win even more special following her recent promotion to Senior Account Manager, recognising just how much she has grown as both a marketer and a leader at Social Star.

As Pearly herself said, “pearls form under pressure” - and we think that sums this one up pretty well.

ChatGPT ads have arrived, and marketers are already divided.

Some see them as the next evolution of digital advertising. A chance to reach people with high intent, at the exact moment they're looking for answers. Others worry they'll blur the line between genuine recommendations and paid promotion, ultimately impacting the trust that makes AI so valuable in the first place.

So, should marketers be tapping into ChatGPT ads?

We think the answer is yes... but only if it's done responsibly. The brands that succeed won't be the ones shouting the loudest. They'll be the ones creating genuinely helpful, relevant experiences that add value to the conversation rather than interrupt it.

As with any new platform, trust should come before clicks.
