You can really see how much darker and more defined the lashes look once the tint is added!

A lash tint can be done every 4–6 weeks, but I recommend waiting 12 weeks between lash lifts to give your lashes time to grow through properly.

✨ Let’s talk about the hair growth cycle! ✨

Did you know your hair goes through 3 different stages? And this is one of the reasons why your wax can last longer some times than others!

🌱 Anagen – Active Growth
This is when the hair is actively growing and is attached firmly to the follicle. This is the ideal stage for waxing because the hair is removed from the root.

🔄 Catagen – Transition Stage
The hair has stopped actively growing and is transitioning into its resting phase. It’s gradually detaching from the follicle.

😴 Telogen – Resting Stage
The hair is resting before eventually shedding and making way for a new hair to grow.

The important thing to remember is that not all of your hairs are in the same stage at the same time. This is why you can have a beautiful, smooth wax and then notice a few hairs appearing sooner than others. 🤍

Regular waxing every 4–6 weeks (or up to 8 weeks depending on the area and your individual growth) helps us work with your natural hair cycle and, over time, can help make regrowth finer, softer and more consistent.

So don’t be discouraged if you see a few hairs popping through after your wax - it’s completely normal! ✨

✨ Why does your wax sometimes last longer than other times? ✨

It actually comes down to where your hair is in its growth cycle when you get waxed!

Hair grows in different stages - anagen (active growth), catagen (transition) and telogen (resting). Not all of your hairs are growing at the same time, which is why some hairs can pop up sooner after a wax than others.

Regular waxing every 4-6weeks (and sometimes up to 8 weeks, depending on the area and your individual growth) helps us catch more hairs at the right stage of the cycle. Over time, this can mean slower, finer and more consistent regrowth. 🤍

So if you feel like your wax lasts longer some times than others - that’s completely normal! Your hair growth cycle is constantly changing. 🌿✨

The key is sticking to your regular waxing schedule rather than waiting until every single hair has grown back. 💕

A little explanation behind my price update 🤍

I know a lot of you have been telling me for ages that I need to put my prices up 😂, so I just wanted to give a little explanation as to why, and where your appointment fee goes.

I do work for myself and I don’t have staff to pay, but there are still lots of costs that come with running a professional beauty business. I use salon-quality products, along with all the other supplies needed to keep everything running smoothly. These are often purchased in bulk for hundreds of dollars at a time.

There’s also electricity, gas, water, cleaning, laundry and all the everyday costs that go into keeping everything clean, comfortable and welcoming.

I also don’t have the overheads of renting commercial salon space, but when we bought our new home, we specifically needed an extra room so I could continue running Wholistic Beauty, which meant taking on a bigger mortgage. So while my overheads look a little different, they’re definitely still there.

Working for myself gives me the flexibility to be there for my family, which I’m incredibly grateful for. It also means I don’t receive paid annual leave or sick leave, so like any self-employed business owner, I need to factor those things into running my business.

I’m so grateful that I have a business that works around my family, and I’m incredibly thankful for every single one of you who chooses to support me 🥰

I’ll always do my best to keep my prices as reasonable and affordable as I can while still being able to continue doing what I love 🤍

And if you know me, you’ll know I don’t exactly put my prices up very often… so at this rate, I probably won’t be doing it again for another 4 or 5 years! 😂🤍

Last week was super busy! This week I’ve got more flexibility if you’ve been meaning to book in.

✨ Scattered appointments available Tuesday & Friday.
✨ A little bit of time Saturday afternoon (both kids will be with me 😂).
✨ And if Wednesdays or Thursdays suit you better, I’m now taking appointments from 12:15pm onwards while Billie has her nap.
