The safest way to get pierced is with a trained professional using a sterile needle. Needles are much gentler on the skin and allow for a cleaner, more precise piercing which can help support a smoother healing process.

DIY piercing kits and guns can be risky if not used correctly, so we always recommend leaving it to the professionals ✨

7 things your piercer probably forgot to tell you 👀💉

1️⃣ Wait a minimum of 6-12 weeks before changing your jewellery, even if it feels healed!

2️⃣ When the bar starts to feel too long, come in and see us. We give you an extra long bar at the start to allow for safe swelling and once that goes down we’ll downsize you.

3️⃣ No touching, no twisting, no turning. We mean it! This causes irritation and slows down your healing.

4️⃣ Those dry flakes or ‘crusties’ around your piercing? They’re actually protecting the skin. Leave them alone!!

5️⃣ No swimming for 2 weeks but don’t stress, showering is completely fine straight away

6️⃣ Twice a day, saline solution spray only. Pro tip, keep it in the fridge to cool and soothe the area

7️⃣ Any concerns at all, irritation, ready to downsize, something doesn’t feel right, come see us. That’s what we’re here for 🤍
