Throwback when we visited Morocco before we opened Kenz Beauty Spa and Moroccan Hammam, the details were magical, bringing as much details with us to Australia was essential to create an authentic experience.
Long before modern spas existed, the hammam was at the heart of daily life in Morocco.

Hidden within the winding alleyways of ancient cities like Marrakesh, Fez and Meknes, traditional hammams have been a cherished part of Moroccan culture for centuries. They were more than just places to bathe — they were places where women gathered, shared stories, celebrated milestones, and took time to care for themselves.

The ritual begins with warmth and steam, softening the skin before a traditional black soap cleanse and exfoliation using the famous kessa glove. Layers of dull skin are gently removed, revealing fresh, radiant skin beneath. Natural ingredients such as rhassoul clay, rose water, argan oil, and orange blossom have been used for generations to nourish and rejuvenate the body.

For Moroccan women, the hammam is a ritual of self-care, connection, and tradition passed down from mother to daughter.

Today, we are proud to bring this beautiful tradition to the Gold Coast, allowing women to experience one of Morocco’s most treasured wellness rituals in a luxurious and relaxing setting.
