A facial is working on your skin. Cleansing, exfoliating, hydrating, looking after the condition of the surface itself.

Anything that works as a series wants starting now, or leaving until November when there is room to run it properly. Half a series before a deadline is worse than not starting.

A single resurfacing session wants a clear fortnight either side, so the flush and the shed are well behind you before anybody takes a photograph.

And the week itself is for the things with no recovery attached at all. The single most common mistake is booking something excellent four days out and then spending those four days worrying about it.

Plan backwards from the date and you will be happy on the day.

Two words that sound like they cancel each other out.

There is no needle involved at any point. The spicules come off a freshwater sponge, they are microscopic, and they settle into the very top layer of the skin.

What happens next is entirely your own doing. Your skin registers them and gets on with turning itself over faster than it had planned to. We have not resurfaced anything. We have handed your skin a nudge and it has done the rest.

It suits reactive skin, it suits pigmentation, and it suits deeper skin tones, which is not true of every resurfacing option out there. There is real downtime attached and we would rather you heard that from us first.
