The week that was has become a few weeks that were - this year is flying by!

The last few weeks we’ve had Karen and Lea take a little break from the clinic to spend time on holidays with their families. Nurse Jane has been in Sydney a few times for ongoing education, including a fabulous anatomy course!

This week in clinic has Nurse Lea and Nurse Jane traveling to Tamworth and Cessnock for a day in clinic. We also have Nurse Bree in Sydney at a cadaver workshop and Nurse Lea completing her laser safety certificate. She’s a busy week!

Our CO2 to laser continues to give outstanding results for our patients in regards to skin quality. We are now seeing our patients for their second treatment with noticeable results after one.

Our ESK skincare range has been walking off the shelf with winter being the time we see changes in our skin texture. Our team is well trained in this range and is happy to offer you advice any time so don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re needing a new moisturiser, cleanser or serum to up the anti on your skincare routine!

Good results don’t start on treatment day — they start weeks before.

Your skin needs to be ready for CO2 laser, not just willing. That means a healthy, well-functioning barrier before we even switch the laser on. Here’s what preparation typically looks like:

Build skin resilience first. We often recommend our ESK-based prepping protocol in the weeks beforehand, focused on strengthening the barrier and supporting hydration.

Stay out of the sun. Active tanning or recent sun exposure can affect both safety and results — sun protection matters more than ever in this window.

Avoid certain actives. Some skincare ingredients need to be paused before - avoid over the counter retinoids 1 week prior and prescription retinoid 2 weeks prior.

Flag your medical history. Recent isotretinoin use, cold sores, or skin infections all need to be disclosed before we proceed. Any active infections will delay your treatment.

Come with realistic expectations. This is a gradual, progressive treatment — knowing what to expect helps the whole process feel right.
