Lions Tasmania
43 clubs make up the Lions Tasmanian (T1) District, which encompasses King and Flinders Islands. Lions International is a global service organisation.
About 950 Tasmanians work together as Lions with 47 clubs making up the Tasmanian (T1) district. Lions Clubs leverage local community spirit to serve their local and wider communities and if the job is a big one Lions clubs work in groups, nationally or internationally to make a positive difference and to change lives. The Lions Tasmania district (201 T1) covers the entire state of Tasmania including King and Flinders Islands. This is the only district in Australia in this position, all other states consist of several districts. Lions Clubs in Tasmania provide support for a vast range of projects across all areas of the state. Lions work with youth, the elderly and infirm of the community. Lions are active in the local community doing good wherever they can. Throughout Australia 30 000 members in 1 500 clubs are serving the country. Worldwide, there are over 1.4 million members in 210 countries forming the world's largest service organisation, Lions Clubs International. If you would like to serve your community, meet new people and become part of the Tasmanian Lions Family, leave a message here and we will connect you with your local club. Lions - We Serve

Well done to Rocky Cape Lions Club President and Lions Tasmania Skin Cancer Foundation Chairman Richy Cochrane who walked the entire 10 kms of the Burnie 10. He was ably supported by son Tristan Cochrane who was back at the finish line 55 minutes before him! Great work, also, to the Lions Club of Burnie Emu Bay who manned the drinks station at the halfway point!

SCOTTSDALE PLANTFEST
PlantFest 2026 was held on Saturday 17 October in the grounds of St Paul's Springfield. Scottsdale Lions Club ran a busy stall on the day. Bagged sheep manure proved a natural fit for a plant-loving crowd. Members sold bags on the day and took orders from gardeners for later delivery. With the festive season approaching, the club also sold Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings, a long-standing Lions favourite. The stall gave members the chance to chat with locals and visitors about the work Lions do in Scottsdale and beyond.
