In all seriousness I can’t remember a conversation from a year ago… I put it down to chemo brain …. But I have an awesome memory when it comes to 80’s songs 🤣🤣🤣

I’m posting this hoping that my advice isn’t taken the wrong way !!!
I’ve been through the head shaving experience, I had support , I also had knowledge from a hairdressing pov..
there’s a lot of influencers atm posting their head shave as a hyped up empowering thing .
Good on you if you need to post shaving your head as an emotional strength …
The reality is , if you nick your scalp with a razor…. As it’s easy to nick your legs when shaving … yep it’s easily done .
If you nick your head while undergoing chemo, when your immunity is compromised to zero. If you get the tiniest slither of hair stuck in that nick and it gets infected ( as hair carries all sorts of bacteria, ie: an ingrown hair ) you are in all sorts of trouble…
Please don’t confuse a social media influencer as a logical common sense person.
You may follow them but don’t do as they do unless you are sure it’s safe … I’ve been a hairdresser , cancer survivor and cancer council worker for more years than I care to imagine ….. think before you follow !!!!! Follow the guidelines for head shaving … stay safe
