June is Men’s Mental Health Month, and I want to take a moment to remind every brother out there how important it is to look after both your physical and mental health.

Life can be tough. Running a business, providing for a family, dealing with setbacks, carrying responsibilities that nobody sees. Sometimes the weight can feel overwhelming. I’ve had my fair share of challenges, especially in the current climate, but one thing I’ve learned is that you cannot pour from an empty cup.

For me, my greatest source of strength will always be my prayers. No matter what life throws my way, turning back to God brings me peace, clarity and perspective.

The second place I find that peace is on the mats at 6:15pm every evening at Gracie Barra Canning Vale . Jiu Jitsu has taught me resilience, patience, discipline and humility. It has pushed me physically and mentally in ways I never expected.

Today, I was awarded my 3rd stripe. It may seem like a small achievement to some, but behind every stripe are countless hours of showing up when I didn’t feel like it, pushing through difficult days and staying consistent when progress felt slow.

That’s the lesson I want to share with you today: consistency beats motivation. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep showing up.

If you’re struggling, talk to someone. Reach out. Pray. Exercise. Find your outlet. Find your tribe. Most importantly, don’t carry the burden alone.

To every man silently fighting battles nobody knows about, I’m proud of you for being here. Keep going. Better days are ahead my brother.
