Manuka essential oil is steam distilled from organically crafted leaves and twigs of the flowering Leptospermum scorparium shrub at East Cape, New Zealand.

Triketones, which are present in elevated level only in Manuka is higher than in Tea Tree Oil. It is the most important key to against unwanted bacteria and it only found in the Manuka growth in the Est Cape, New Zealand.
