Unapologetically you 🤍 Bella May was created by the very creative, passionate owner/operator Kirsty Boddey. After achieving a L’Oreal Colour Degree, the highest qualification at the time she decided to open Bella May. She first established herself in a small salon in Joondalup, in May 2013. Once she had established herself in a small salon she saw the opportunity within the Craigie Plaza and decided to move and redesign Bella May and create a beautifully modern boutique salon. The salon has a lovely team of girls who are highly trained girls, who are experienced in Colour, Styling, Hair-up / Bridal Hair, Chemical Straightening and Perms. Each member of our team brings something different to our salon and each strive on creating the hair that our clients want to achieve. Our aim and promise to you is that you will leave the salon with shiny, healthy, beautiful hair. We pride ourselves on offering the latest colour fashion and styles using the latest technology. We only use the best products from L'Oreal, L’Oreal INOA and Pureology. Whatever you need, we have a member of the Bella May Team who can assist you with the required skill you are looking for. ADDING DIMENSION DOESN’T MEAN LOSING YOUR BLONDE 🤍
This beauty came to us after a previous colour experience hadn’t quite achieved the inspo she was hoping for.
We were working with dark regrowth, a strong yellow/golden band and extremely light ends — with some existing breakage, so protecting the integrity of her hair was our priority.
We went LOW + SLOW using our new O&M Super 9 Lightener with 10 Vol, paired with CORE Restore for added protection.
To soften the regrowth and neutralise warmth, we worked O&M 8.0 + 8.81 + 1.5 Vol between the foils, creating a softer pearly base.
At the basin, we finished with a seamless root melt through the blonde, blurring those harsh lines while keeping her beautifully BRIGHT ✨
And THIS is the result 🤌🏼
Dimensional doesn’t have to mean darker.
Sometimes it’s simply about placing the right tones in the right places to make the blonde look even better.

We transformed this platinum blonde by introducing beautifully placed depth and tonal dimension, while preserving that signature brightness around the face and throughout the ends.
The result is a blonde that feels softer, richer and effortlessly expensive.

GREY BLENDING DOESN’T MEAN GOING GREY 🤍
It’s about using the right combination of tones to soften regrowth, remove harsh demarcation lines and create a more natural, lower-maintenance grow-out.
My beautiful client had previously been colouring her roots every 2 weeks. After having her hair lightened elsewhere, she was left with orange banding, yellow blonde and her natural white hair coming through.
She didn’t want to be grey.
She didn’t want to go dark.
She simply wanted everything to BLEND.
We used a combination of highlights + lowlights, targeting the warmer orange areas while weaving depth back through the lighter areas and her natural white hair.
The result? ✨
A softer, dimensional colour that still feels youthful and fresh — just without the 2-week root appointment.
Grey blending isn’t about embracing grey. It’s about making your natural hair work WITH your colour, not against it 🤍

✨ IMPORTANT BOOKING UPDATE ✨
After having a string of late cancellations and no shows, we’ve had to make a change we honestly hoped we wouldn’t need to make.
KMT has always had a cancellation and no-show policy, and over the years we’ve been incredibly understanding and lenient when things come up.
Unfortunately, after reflecting on the impact that no-shows and last-minute cancellations have on our salon, our team and our clients waiting for appointments, from Monday our cancellation policy will be strictly enforced.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
From Monday, ALL clients will be required to accept our cancellation/no-show policy and securely enter their card details through Fresha when making an appointment.
If the booking terms are not accepted and card details are not added, Fresha will automatically cancel the appointment 24 hours after the booking is made.
Please understand — we don’t want to charge cancellation fees. We want you in our chairs 🤎
But as a small business, when an appointment is reserved for you, we have allocated a stylist, time and resources specifically for that service. A no-show can mean several hours of lost income that we often have no opportunity to refill — particularly when we regularly have clients waiting for appointments.
We know that the vast majority of our beautiful clients always attend their appointments or give us plenty of notice when plans change, and we genuinely appreciate you for that.
This change isn’t about making things difficult. It’s simply about protecting our small business, our team and the time we reserve for every client 🤎
