Qualified in both Equine Sports Massage Therapy and Remedial Massage Therapy, with a commitment to continually expanding my knowledge and skills.

I consider their workload, discipline, history, lifestyle, movement and what I find through palpation when tailoring each session.

🐴 A thoughtful approach to every session:
I don’t believe deeper automatically means better. I take the time to observe how each horse responds and work within their comfort levels.

🐴 Assessment is part of the session:
I’m looking beyond simply finding “tight muscles” and pay attention to muscle tone, sensitivity, movement and areas that may need further investigation.

Every session comes with a comprehensive report outlining what I found, what was worked on and recommendations to support your horse between treatments.

🐴 Supporting the horse, not replacing veterinary care:
Massage is one part of a bigger picture. Where something falls outside my scope, I’ll always recommend involving the appropriate professional.

Watch the muscles work!👀

Ever actually stopped to watch your horse’s face while they’re eating?

In this video, you can see the Masseter, one of the major muscles responsible for chewing, working through each bite.

But look a little higher and you can also see movement through the temporalis, another important muscle involved in the horse’s chewing mechanics.

Those little movements and changes in the muscle fibres are a pretty cool reminder that there’s a LOT happening underneath that skin every time your horse chews🐴

Why I take notes after every session. 📝🐴
Your horse’s massage isn’t just a one-off appointment!

After each session, I record what I observed during palpation, how your horse responded to treatment, any areas of tension or restriction I noticed and anything worth keeping an eye on.

Why?..
Because having that history allows me to look back and compare how your horse has presented over time.

It can help me notice patterns, recognise changes and make each future session more informed.

And you don’t just have to wonder what happened during your horse’s massage - you receive these notes in the form of a report after every session.

I’ll be out of the office from OCTOBER 27TH to NOVEMBER 12TH: giving my massage table a holiday while i go off to enjoy some lovely autumn scenery⛩️🍂

As i am taking a deserved break and heading overseas, replies may be a little slower while I’m off doing important things… like eating, exploring and pretending I understand their public transport hehe.
