Dear Industry Colleagues,
SaCSA has released a survey seeking direct industry input on the future structure of the Certificate III qualification for Hairdressing and Barbering.
I have attached a QR code that links directly to the survey. I strongly encourage you to complete this and share the QR code widely within your networks to ensure as many industry voices as possible are heard.
Please note that SaCSA is aiming to finalise the structural decision for the qualification when the survey closes on 20 February, making it essential that industry feedback is received before this date.
The survey is brief, and aside from your business details, the key questions are:
Q1: In your view, should the Certificate III qualification be designed as:
• A single combined qualification,
• Separate stand-alone qualifications, or
• Not sure
Q2: Why do you hold this view?
Q3: What are the main risks or challenges of your preferred option?
This is a critical opportunity for industry to influence the direction of the qualification that will shape future training, apprenticeships, and workforce outcomes. A strong response from employers, salons, barbershops, and industry professionals will provide SaCSA with clear evidence of what the sector genuinely needs.
