Each time I wander into the bush after a fresh rain, I feel like a tiny explorer in a dreamscape, where fungi rise like soft whispers from the earth.

They remind me that, like us, life is a cycle—emerging after stillness, growing in the warmth of possibility, and fading only to prepare for a new beginning.

So, just like these mushrooms, we choose how we wish to evolve.

We choose our expansion and our limitations.

Remove your limitations and your growth is limitless ❤️ time and time again.

A few days ago I spent some time reading the messages on Lifeblood’s “Why I Donate” Tree.

I wasn’t prepared for how deeply they would affect me.

Every leaf tells a story. A mum. A dad. A brother. A sister. A newborn baby. A son. A daughter. Young lives. Older lives. Each message is written by someone whose life has been touched by the kindness of a stranger who chose to donate blood.

It’s easy to think of blood donation as “just giving blood.”

It isn’t.

It’s giving someone another birthday.
Another Christmas.
Another chance to watch their child grow.
Another opportunity to simply come home.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your donation could really make a difference, I have a challenge for you…

Go into your local Lifeblood centre and read the messages on the “Why I Donate” Tree.

Take your time.
Read them one by one.

I believe you’ll walk away seeing blood donation through completely different eyes.

Because behind every blood donation isn’t just a bag of blood.

It’s hope.
It’s love.
It’s someone’s future.

❤️ Change a life.
🩸 Donate blood.
You may never meet the person you help, but they’ll never forget that someone cared enough to give.

SLOW DOWN.

This sign was placed here to remind drivers to slow down as they enter.

But what if we looked at it from another perspective?

Maybe it’s not just for the cars.
Maybe it’s for us.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve accepted that life should be rushed. That we should always be busy, always productive, always chasing the next thing before we’ve even appreciated the present one.

What if we rewrote what “normal” looks like?

✨ Slow your breath.
✨ Slow your thoughts.
✨ Slow your reactions.
✨ Slow your pace.
✨ Slow down enough to truly notice the life unfolding around you.

Whether you’re drinking your morning coffee, walking through nature, washing the dishes, hugging someone you love, or simply sitting in silence… be there. Fully.

The present moment isn’t something we find.
It’s something we allow ourselves to experience.

When we slow down, our nervous system softens, our intuition becomes clearer, and our heart has room to speak.

Today, give yourself permission to step out of the race that was never yours to run.

Because life isn’t measured by how fast we move.

It’s measured by how deeply we experience it.

🍃 Slow down. Breathe. Be here.

Love,

The Chakra Shift 💚

Reiki Myths Debunked ✨🌿

Myth #1: Reiki is a religion

Truth: Reiki is not a religion and does not require any particular belief system. People of many different faiths, and those with no religious beliefs, receive Reiki. It is a complementary wellness practice focused on relaxation and wellbeing.

Myth #2: You have to believe in Reiki for it to work

Truth: Many people report feeling relaxed during a Reiki session whether they are skeptical, curious, or enthusiastic. An open mind can enhance any experience, but belief is not a requirement for receiving a session.

Myth #3: Reiki can replace medical treatment

Truth: Reiki is a complementary therapy, not a replacement for professional medical care. It is often used alongside conventional healthcare to support relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional wellbeing.

Myth #4: Reiki practitioners heal people

Truth: Reiki practitioners do not “fix” or “heal” someone. Rather, they provide a supportive environment that may help the body and mind relax and engage their own natural healing processes.

Myth #5: Reiki is only for people who are sick

Truth: Many people receive Reiki simply to reduce stress, maintain balance, enhance self-care, or enjoy deep relaxation.

Myth #6: Reiki is just a placebo

Truth: Research on Reiki is ongoing. While evidence for specific medical outcomes remains limited, studies suggest Reiki may help promote relaxation and reduce stress and anxiety for some people. Many recipients report positive personal experiences.

Myth #7: Reiki is dangerous

Truth: Reiki is generally considered a gentle, non-invasive complementary practice. Most people experience it as calming and relaxing. It should never involve harmful techniques or pressure.

Myth #8: Distance Reiki is impossible

Truth: Distance Reiki is a traditional practice within several Reiki systems. Some people find it meaningful and beneficial, while others remain skeptical. Experiences vary from person to person.

Myth #9: Reiki is only for humans

Truth: Some practitioners also offer Reiki to animals. Many pet owners seek Reiki sessions to help promote calmness and relaxation in their animals.

Myth #10: You need special gifts to learn Reiki

Truth: Reiki is typically taught as a learnable practice. Most Reiki teachers believe that anyone with genuine interest and commitment can learn Reiki.

In the aftermath of a week spent grieving and healing, I made deliberate decisions to release the elements that no longer positively contributed to my life. Fear played a role in my decision-making process, but ultimately, I knew I had chosen correctly.

This morning's reading from The Divine Masters Oracle by Kyle Gray, beautifully illustrated by Jennifer Hawkyard, reinforced my conviction. The message spoke directly to my experience: releasing the shadows we've carried allows an inner light to emerge. With Thoth's wisdom and Brigid's flame guiding me, I understand that each decision is a spark on my life's path.

As I process my loss, I also ignite the flame of new possibilities. The journey ahead will undoubtedly be difficult, but this guidance reminds me that every release, no matter how challenging, brings me closer to freedom.

Each insight is a gentle guide on my path forward.

My new children’s book is now available in my shop; either in person or online.

💗 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 💗

This tender and uplifting story is created for children who experience emotions deeply. Through soothing language and familiar experiences, it helps kids make sense of their big feelings, understand why they feel things so strongly, and learn ways to protect their energy in an often overwhelming world.

Luma gradually realises that her sensitivity is a gift, not a flaw. With the loving support of her mother, she discovers gentle tools to feel secure and learns how to create healthy boundaries with compassion. Along the way, Luma uncovers the quiet beauty of embracing and accepting herself just as she is.

For any child who absorbs the emotions and energy around them, this book feels like a comforting hug wrapped inside a story.

*Also available on Amazon.

You don’t have to wait for a big milestone to feel proud of yourself. Every small step, every quiet effort, every time you chose to keep going, it all counts. Growth isn’t always loud, but it is always worth celebrating.

Take a moment today to acknowledge how far you’ve come. You’ve faced things you once thought you couldn’t handle, and yet here you are, still moving forward. That alone is something to be proud of.

Keep showing up for yourself, even in the smallest ways. You are building something meaningful, one step at a time.

I’m feeling like it’s all too much right now.

And then I realised this…

Some seasons of life feel like walking through fog with a candle that keeps flickering in the wind. 🌫️

🕯️The path ahead disappears. Your heart feels heavy. Even the smallest step can feel like climbing a mountain barefoot.

But not seeing the light does not mean it no longer exists.

Sometimes healing is quiet. Sometimes growth happens underground like roots stretching through dark soil before the flowers ever bloom. 🌱

If you are in a difficult chapter right now, be gentle with yourself. Rest when you need to. Breathe deeply.

Trust that this moment is not your forever.

The sun still rises even after the longest storm.

And so will you. ✨
