toejamm — not two words, just one, all lower case and don’t forget the extra ‘m’ on the end pls and thank you 😏

why the name? well i specialise in pedicures of course 💁🏻‍♀️👣

however, the idea didn’t just appear overnight — i first had a name i was so excited about. mum came over for her service at my house and i was like, “mum! turn on your wifi, i got the name!” (asked eddie to change the wifi for me for this oh so momentous occasion 🤓)

turns it on... starts scrolling... then reads out loud, “the pedi... loun... JAMI YOU CAN’T HAVE THAT!! YOU ARE NEXT TO A PRIMARY SCHOOL - IT SOUNDS LIKE ‘THE PE*****LE LOUNGE’!! CHANGE IT RIGHT NOW!!” omfg 🤯 (joys of a graphic designer mum)😅 changed the wifi back too it’s og. name immediately😳🫣

back to the drawing board i went. one morning i was driving eddie to work tossing out names when he goes, “babe what about that stuff under your nails, like nail jam or something?” i was like, “no babe it’s called...” then paused and like a ray of light from the heavens with the angels singing ahhhh... my eyes lit up and i screamed, “TOE JAM!” 🤩

we cracked up laughing. it matched my personality to a ‘t’, we added an extra ‘m’ for effect and joined the words together, it was a glorious day 😌

have i ever thought about changing it? no. will i ever, given what some say? 100% no! you say the name once and people know exactly who you’re talking about.

it’s the best convo starter and it’s usually goes something like this, “so jami, tell me, what do you do for a job?” every time i pause, smirk 😏 and… “well… i have a business… that specialises in pedicures, so, i called it… toejamm.” i wait for a few seconds 👀 the penny drops, then, “😂🤣 i love it!!”

i’m so glad i trusted it 🙌🏼

pro tip when unique biz name hunting 👉🏼 do your research, jot down names, say them out loud, check meanings, bounce them off others, and make sure socials, urls, google + abn lookup are all clear, then you’ll be guaranteed you stand out from the crowd 😎
