A new systematic review in the Journal of Clinical Medicine asked whether vitamin D and omega-3 together can support emotional and behavioural regulation in people with autism.

Only three studies met the criteria, and just one was a randomised controlled trial. Those studies reported improvements in irritability and hyperactivity, but the evidence is limited and doesn't show that supplementation works.

Its authors call for larger trials before anyone draws firm conclusions. In the meantime, supplementation should be individualised and supervised, with vitamin D levels monitored.

🌿 WHAT DOES “BIOIDENTICAL” HRT ACTUALLY MEAN?

“Bioidentical” is a term we hear a lot when talking about hormone therapy, but it doesn’t automatically mean safer, better or more effective.

There’s an important distinction between regulated body identical HRT and compounded products marketed as “bioidentical”.

IV Health Sunshine Coast is a nurse led integrative IV vitamin infusion clinic in Sippy Downs, and our little team is growing! We’re on the hunt for a couple of Registered and/or Enrolled Nurses who are warm, curious, and genuinely passionate about helping people feel their best.

What the role looks like:

✅ Casual to start, with real potential for permanent part time and a pathway into a Lead Nurse role for the right person

✅ A spread of shifts including weekdays 8.45am–4.30pm, Thursday evenings 4–8pm, Saturdays 8.45am–2pm, plus our mobile visit roster

💉 Calling all vein whisperers ~ cannulation experience is highly desirable (but if you’re the right human, we’ll help you master it!)

✅ Experience in the integrative, functional or vitamin infusion space? That’s a real advantage

✅ Know Cliniko, our practice management system? Even better
