A letter to my cervix.
You may be termed incompetent and boy do you have some explaining to do but I will not let you stop me from embracing my strong and capable body.
I wish there was a better term they used for you, one that doesn’t make me feel broken, defective….a failure maybe. But that’s okay, I’ve found other ways to remind myself that I am not those things.
Seeing me, me as a whole, me as a mum, me as a nurturer for this growing baby in these photos has made me feel like a goddess, like I can do this one last time.
I did this photoshoot as a way of remembering my last time being pregnant but it became so much more than that. It made me feel pure joy in this pregnancy, letting go of fear. Embracing me, my body and what I have achieved. Yes you may be a little incompetent but look at what I have overcome inspite of this!
I am proud, I am happy, I am beautiful 😍

So thank you for holding out enough for me to bring this last spirit baby into the world (soon but not too soon!) and for me to see myself in this way….. 💕
