The heat level? 2-3 out of 10.
This is what people find most surprising about Laser Genesis. It's doing powerful work in the skin, heating the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin, but without damaging the surface or causing downtime.
It helps with redness, pores, texture and overall skin quality, and you can go straight back to your day after. No pain, peeling or hiding.
Genuine skin improvement (minus the discomfort).
One thing I want all of my patients to know is that Novaes is a rush-free zone.
This is a consultation-led practice, not a sales-driven one.
My job is to assess, educate and recommend. Your job is to decide if and when the treatment feels right for you.
If you need a week to think it over, I encourage it. The right treatment will feel like a confident decision - never a pressured one.

I've never been particularly convinced by eye products.
The skin around the eyes is unique, but many rely on temporary hydration or cosmetic effects rather than ingredients designed to support long-term skin health.
If I'm asking my patients to add another step to their routine, it needs to deliver more than that.
GeneXC Firming Eye Gel is one of the few eye products I can confidently recommend.
It combines two forms of Vitamin C with Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 to support collagen production, alongside Ergothioneine and Glutathione for antioxidant protection. Bacillus Ferment provides an immediate firming effect, while Panthenol and hyaluronic acid help maintain hydration and reinforce the skin barrier.
It's a thoughtfully formulated product with a strong scientific rationale, and one of the few eye treatments I'll be recommending in clinic.
A new arrival worth sharing about.
The new iS Clinical GeneXC Firming Eye Gel has officially landed at Novaes.
It combines three technologies we don't often see together in a single eye treatment:
• Bioidentical Tripeptide-1 growth factor to support skin renewal and improve the appearance of firmness.
• A 10% GeneXC complex featuring vitamin C, niacinamide and potent botanical antioxidants to visibly brighten and improve skin quality.
• Proprietary Extremozyme® technology to help defend against environmental stress and oxidative damage.

Clinical testing demonstrated improvements in the appearance of fine lines, firmness, elasticity and hydration, while helping reduce the look of puffiness around the eyes.
For one of the thinnest and most challenging areas of the face to treat, it's a formulation that genuinely stands apart.
Now available in clinic + online.
Most of our patients are surprised by how customisable CO2 laser can be.
There's no prize for having the most aggressive treatment. We're all about achieving the best possible result with the right amount of downtime for your lifestyle.
More pixels = a more intensive treatment, greater collagen remodelling and more downtime.
Fewer pixels = a lighter treatment, faster healing and less interruption to your routine.
It's all about finding the right balance between results and recovery.
It's one of those treatments we could recommend to almost every patient who walks through our doors.
Rather than targeting a single concern, Laser Genesis works by gently heating the upper dermis to stimulate collagen production, while calming diffuse redness and supporting overall skin health.
That means:
- A healthier skin barrier
- Reduced diffuse redness
- Softer, smoother texture
- More even skin tone
- Skin that appears brighter and more refined over time
It's the treatment we often recommend when the goal is healthier, higher-quality skin overall. If you're also concerned about broken capillaries or areas of pigmentation, the CoolView handpiece allows us to hone in on those individual concerns with precision.

Walk into any beauty retailer and you'll find hundreds of products all promising the same thing. Brighter skin. Fewer fine lines. Hydration you can spot from outer space.
As a clinician, I see the aftermath every day. Over-exfoliated skin, compromised barriers from the misuse of active ingredients, and patients who've spent hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars on products that simply weren't right for their skin.
That's why I'm so incredibly selective about the skincare we recommend at Novaes, and why we don't have shelves lined with dozens of skincare brands.
We chose because it has repeatedly proven itself in a clinical environment. It's a range that performs across a broad spectrum of concerns, from acne and pigmentation to redness-prone skin, compromised barriers and post-procedure recovery.
I'm not interested in having the biggest skincare shelf - I want to have complete confidence in every product that sits on it.
One device, with endless possibilities. The Excel V+ is one of the most versatile lasers in our clinic because it targets three of the biggest concerns we see every day:
Reds – Think broken capillaries, flushing, chronic redness and visible blood vessels.Browns – Sun spots, pigmentation, melasma and uneven skin tone.Collagen & elastin – Helping to support firmer, plumper, healthier-looking skin over time.
Good skin is healthy skin function. Even skin tone, balanced vascularity, strong collagen support and good structural integrity all play a role in creating skin that looks healthy, resilient and radiant. By targeting redness, unwanted pigment and supporting collagen production, we're addressing the underlying factors that contribute to overall skin quality, as well as what's visible on the surface.

Not all lasers that target pigmentation work in the same way.
Older technologies often rely on longer pulses of heat to break down pigment - and while this can be effective in the right circumstances, that heat can also spread into the surrounding tissue, increasing inflammation and downtime.
Pico Enlighten II by Cutera takes a different approach.
By delivering energy in picoseconds (trillionths of a second), it creates a powerful photoacoustic effect that shatters pigment into tiny particles before significant heat has time to spread through the skin.
The result is highly precise pigment targeting, and less unnecessary thermal injury to the surrounding tissue.
Of course, technology is only one part of the equation. The type of pigmentation, your unique skin, and the settings chosen all influence the outcome, which is why choosing the right laser and an experienced practitioner matters.

Pigmentation is rarely as straightforward as it seems, and it's never a one-size-fits-all concern.
What looks like a single issue can be driven by multiple underlying processes, which is why treatment should always be tailored, not standardised.
In most cases, a strategic, long-term approach will deliver better results than an aggressive one.
