A little hair science moment ✨

I knew the Shinesaver brush had tourmaline-infused bristles, but I wanted to understand why that actually matters in a blow-dry. In a nutshell: it can help reduce static and encourage a smoother, shinier finish

I’m always interested in the why behind the tools we use every day, so I thought I’d share what I learned.

Genuinely impressed by this duo ✨

The Lorna Evans/Styling Educator Timesaver + Shinesaver have become a regular part of my blowdry routine.
One is for speed and one is for polish. Together they make finishing a blow dry feel noticeably more efficient.

A very easy recommendation from me 👌

The devils in the details.

Does anyone else using absolutely everything in their arsenal for touch ups? 🤣

Here I’m reaching for my Lorna Evans/Styling Educator Edge brush and my can of hairspray. I’m using KEVIN.MURPHY AUSTRALIA session flex hairspray and using the actually spray can to push down those baby hair. I don’t want to disturb the lovely finish with the my hands so the can is a much better tool to use!

Good hair isn’t about looking perfectly polished every single day.

It’s about creating a haircut that works with you, not one that constantly asks more of you.

I want my clients to leave with hair that feels beautiful on the rushed mornings, the lazy Sundays, and everything in between. Because when the foundation is right, styling becomes something you get to do—not something you have to do.

I’d love to know… are you someone who styles your hair every day, or do you prefer to let your haircut do most of the work? 👇

One of my favourite techniques for creating bridal buns. ✨

By knotting two ponytails together, you get beautiful detail without the bun ever feeling overworked. It’s intricate yet refined, making it one of my go-to techniques for modern bridal styling.

Save this one for your next upstyle. 🤍

One of my favourite little tricks from the June Masterclass ✨

For soft, polished hairlines, I almost always reach for KEVIN.MURPHY AUSTRALIA Easy Rider and a Luxury Italian Brushes & Combs toothbrush. The creamy texture smooths and controls flyaways while keeping the hair looking hydrated and natural—not stiff or overworked.

A comfortable hairline always beats one that’s been shellacked with hairspray. Save this one for your next upstyle. 🤍

Done teaches you more than perfect ever will.

“To require perfection is to invite paralysis.” — a line from Art & Fear by David Bayles and Ted Orland that has stuck with me for years.

As creatives, we spend so much time zooming in on the tiny details that we forget everyone else is looking at the whole picture.

Perfection is an impossible finish line. Growth, however, comes from making, sharing, learning, and repeating the process.

So consider this your reminder to put the work out there. The next piece will always teach you something the last one couldn’t.

P.S. To my two colleagues… sorry for using our conversation as today’s content. 😂❤️
