2019 has seen me the happiest I've been. On the 30th of March, I married my soulmate and was one of the happiest days of my life. Since then, life has tested us and me in more ways than one, it has been a bumpy ride. The silver lining from these times is that it has made the bond between my husband and me stronger. We were so fortunate to have my incredible brother Gary and his amazing wife Linda here for Christmas, it was such a wonderful and special time spent with the people we love.

After many a sleepless night, countless conversations and with my husband Harry and many other close friends I've stepped back to evaluate my work-life balance and with a heavy heart I have decided to close the doors on Jon Sewell Hair.

Having made this decision I now have the peace of mind and time to reflect on the last five years. JSH was my baby, it was a time when I learnt and gained so much. It saw me working with the most incredible people. I gave all of myself to the salon in the end. So much so I completely lost who I was. I am a hairdresser. I love hair, the creativity, the art, the interaction with my clients, friends and my entire salon family and towards the end, I was so consumed in juggling to find staff and make my business work, I lost any time or ability to be me - the artist and the creative I am.

This is by no means the end. I'm closing a chapter and I'm starting a new one, with more knowledge, strength and support behind me. It is my time to shine and I am beyond excited for what's coming. I’m so eager for 2020, It’s the year of new chapters and a year for embracing our dreams.

I want to thank everyone that has been apart of this journey and I will keep you posted on what's to come. This decision has not been easy, but having the support and love of my true friends and family makes me incredibly fortunate.

I wish everyone an incredibly happy healthy new year, full of love and laughter, a year where dreams will come true.

15 yrs ago I came to Australia. 15yrs ago, Marina was one of my very first clients and still is to this day. she Shaz followed me and supported wherever i have gone. I am honoured to not only look after marinas hair but the whole family too. They are not only wonderful clients. But fiends too. We have been through many many many transformations. Cuts, colours. Long. Short. Blonde. Dark. Even a bit of red thrown in along the way. But most of all alway fun. Thank you for your continued support and friendship.

I have been in post wedding bliss, enjoying married life, I’ve taken a tech detox but I will be back very very soon with some exciting new updates 😝 Happy Sunday 😃😃
