Thirroul Nail Tech with 25+ Yrs experience 💅🏻 Specialising in gel, BIAB and acrylic nail services My name is Linda. The e-file is NOT the problem.

With over 25 years in the Beauty and Nail industry, working predominantly in the Camden most of that time, I am bringing my expertise to the Coast, where I now call home. I have a signature salon in Narellan called Kaydah Beauty and Nails where we offer all aspects of traditional beauty therapy along with an extensive nail and feet treatment list. Moving to Thirroul only 1 year ago and settling into life quite nicely by the water I have decided to bring my expertise to the Coast and offer my high end nail and feet services that you will find hard to beat anywhere close by. I am a CND trained Nail Technician using these products exclusively as I have done for my entire career. My beautiful salon in Narellan boasts a full range of Pure Fiji face and body treatments and products which I will also have available in my Thirroul salon. For those of you that may find my prices a little excessive compared to other nail salons around, let me explain to you why, and what you are guaranteed with my services that you will NOT always get with others. For the most part my work is all done by hand. Hand filing as opposed to electric filing or the dreaded “nail drill”. The problem in most cases is the operator. The e-file is used to speed up the filing process in-particular in an Acrylic infill treatment and also to clean and tidy discoloured or slightly lifting natural nails from underneath the exposed free edge of the nail. Where I may use the e-file from time to time in my services you can be guaranteed that EVERY e-file attachment has been autoclaved (sterilised) in between EVERY client. In addition to a clean and sterilised file bit, EVERY client also receives their own nail file. This file will stay with me in-between your infills and will never be used on anybody else. This is the same with any files used on your toes. If in the event that you may find a nail infection in any of your nails, this file will be tossed. Nail infections are HIGHLY contagious and very easily transferred between other nails. Where these infections are quite common, you are less likely to contract anything where good nail hygiene practices are followed. This I can guarantee you is my number 1 priority when servicing my clients. CND (Creative Nail Design) is a global leader in professional nail and foot beauty and has been since founded in 1979. Based in CA, USA, CND devotes significant time and resources to product research and development and is an industry-leading advocate for the role of nail care in personal beauty. I have used CND professional nail products my entire career in Beauty and Nails. My nail expertise extend to ALL different types of nail enhancements. Acrylic, Builder Gel and BIAB (builder in a bottle) gel systems. Over my career I have tried and tested other nail enhancement systems like SNS but prefer to stay with what I consider a better choice of enhancement to lessen any damage to our natural nails. In saying that, nails (contrary to what we often think) don’t need to breathe. They do not absorb or need vitamins and you cannot ‘feed’ them anything to make them physically thicker. The most important thing to know about ANY nail enhancement system is that none of them inherently cause damage to the nail. Instead, damage is caused by improper application or removal of nail coatings. If your coating is picked, pried or peeled off, it can cause damage to the nail. If several or all of your nails consistently burn or get warm when filed during the nail service, they are being damaged by over-filing. WHY I DON’T CHOOSE SNS

This is quite simple. As explained above, nail infections can spread very easily between nails and between clients when improper hygiene practices are used. The SNS or ‘dip powder’ system requires clients to ‘dip’ their nails into tubs of powder that is also being used for dipping everybody else’s nails into. Can you see what I’m talking about here? It’s simply very unhygienic. ACRYLIC V’S GEL What’s the difference? In short, both services will give you an excellent look and feel. When deciding which service to choose, consider that Acrylic generally needs to be redone in 2-3 weeks, while the standard for gel is 3-4 weeks. Resin like in acrylic powder may be susceptible to water and household cleaners, while gel is solvent resistant. If you use water or wash your hands regularly, a gel service might be better for you. Gel provides flexibility as well as resistance to solvents. Gel provides a strong structure over the natural nail and shock absorption for the nails, lessening breakage. Gel, as opposed to Acrylic does not have a ‘smell’. Gel, when curing under the LED light can sometimes produce a heat to the nail. This is completely normal and is not damaging to your nail in any way. It is simply the chemical reaction between the gel and the light. This heat can be more uncomfortable to some clients that others. The choice is personal.
