So what is the difference between Cacao Powder and Cacao Paste? ✨

Cacao Paste is what you think of when you think of Ceremonial Cacao, it is the block or bricks of 100% Cacao, that you usually chop to make your Cacao. It is using the entirety of the bean. The bean has been dried, roasted, de-husked and then goes through a process for 24-48 hours to turn into a liquid and then set into a solid mass, which is your Cacao Paste.

Cacao Powder is when they take that solid cacao mass and put it through a process that compress’s it, on one side comes out the Cacao butter which is a very expensive product and on the other side what is left over is the Cacao Powder!
