How your life can be turned upside down and ripped apart in a matter of hours. Never in a million years did we EVER think we would be seeing the walls of the ICU ward again yet here we are... Our big beautiful, smart, caring and fun loving lego master Amelia is not well at all.

What started as a headache lead to events I never want to witness again in any lifetime. Our Amelia was rushed into surgery with a clot and bleeding on the brain........... this was completely unexpected and we are still trying to find out why and how this could have happened. We were doing so well on the ward and planning to come home but life decided to be so cruel.

We know she is strong and has so many behind her to fight this battle.

We are tired, drained and just shocked. Please give us all time to process and comprehend what has happened.

Happy to have visits for coffee (please message first) as Amelia comes first, but no visitors to see Amelia until we her parents see fit, we are taking what Amelia would be feeling serious and know she wouldn't want anyone seeing her like this, this is going to be something that will take so much time ❤️

Sorry beauties but I am closed this week..

Ok where do we start....Firstly Amelia is doing well. It's been a very crazy 3 weeks with an ambulance ride, a Protien Losing Enteropathy diagnosis to then having a cardiac catheter done followed by a Fontan Fenestration done. Tomorrow we will get a run down on all the new meds she will be on and how we manage all this moving forward.
Currently waiting patiently to build some lego but still needing to lay down and not sit up for a while longer. (She does not like being told she can't sit up)
So if we don't answer messages it's cause we are a little (alot) pre occupied with getting our heads around all of this.
Ill say thank you now for any well wishes for Amelia as ill read them all to her when she is ready. # # #
