A few favourites from the Juv’ae Cocktail Event at this year’s Cosmetic Collective. 🍸🤍

Such a fun evening celebrating another year with so many talented nurses, doctors, business owners and healthcare professionals. We enjoyed a cocktail (or three 🍸😂), shared plenty of laughs, and I even managed to stay up well past my usual bedtime… a pretty big achievement for me. 😅

One of my favourite parts of conference is connecting with people who are just as passionate about aesthetic medicine. I always leave feeling inspired, with fresh ideas, new perspectives and even more excitement for what’s ahead.

I’d love to say I woke up looking like the first few photos… but if you make it to the last slide, you’ll see how I actually woke up that morning before hair and makeup. 😂

Any other fine-haired, curly-haired girls wake up looking like a scarecrow too, or is it just me? 😅🤍

Running a business with your husband… 🤍

We’ve been together for almost 13 years, and somehow we’ve managed to survive working together too… most days. 😅

Fun fact: when we first met, I was studying to become a primary school teacher and Morgan was finishing his psychology degree. Safe to say neither of us imagined we’d end up running two aesthetic clinics together.

Fast forward a few years and life looks very different. I’m now a Registered Nurse, Morgan’s an accountant, we’ve bought our first home, adopted our golden retriever Lulu, took the leap and started an aesthetic business during COVID, got married, bought a home in the area we’d always dreamed of living in, welcomed our beautiful little boy Micah, opened two clinics… and decided spending 24/7 together sounded like a great idea. 😂

Does Morgan enjoy my endless colour-coded to-do lists? Not particularly. 😂
Do I enjoy being reminded to improve my bookkeeping or actually use the systems he’s created? Also no. 😂

We don’t exactly leave work at work either… our dinner conversations usually end up being about the clinic, and more than one date night has turned into a business meeting. 😅

Turns out marriage is the easy part… running two clinics together is the real test. 😂🤍

One of the biggest misconceptions about aesthetic medicine is that it’s about fixing problems once they’ve appeared.

MEET NURSE ANGELA 🤍

We are so excited to officially welcome Nurse Angela to the Aesthetics by Maddy-Jane team!

Angela is a Registered Nurse with 9 years of nursing experience and has been working in aesthetic medicine for almost 3 years. With previous experience in intensive care and surgical nursing before transitioning into aesthetics, she brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, confidence and experience to every consultation and treatment.

Angela is passionate about achieving natural, balanced results that enhance your features while still looking like you. She believes aesthetic medicine is about supporting clients to feel confident in their own skin, combining skin health with subtle, personalised treatments.

Known for her calm, caring nature, Angela is committed to making every client feel comfortable, listened to and well informed throughout their treatment journey.

One of my favourite moments from CC26. 🤍

I’ve admired Rana’s work for years, so being able to not only meet her in person, but also hear her speak on stage and learn from her in a more intimate setting, was a real highlight of the conference.

I was lucky enough to attend a private lunch with Rana alongside a small group of nurses, where we could ask questions, share ideas and gain insight beyond what was presented during her conference session.

What I loved most wasn’t just her clinical knowledge, but how down to earth, funny and genuinely relatable she is. Her passion for natural, ethical patient care and education is truly inspiring.

I’m heading home with plenty of new tips, tricks and ideas that I can’t wait to bring back to our team and our patients.

Thank you, Rana, for being so generous with your knowledge. It was such a pleasure to finally meet you.

A little outside my comfort zone yesterday 🤍

A huge thank you to Juv’ae for inviting me to be part of the CC26 panel discussion at The Langham Gold Coast and share a little of my journey with more than 300 cosmetic nurses and industry professionals from across Australia.

As someone who is far more comfortable in a treatment room than on a stage, opportunities like this definitely push me outside my comfort zone. They also give me a chance to reflect on just how far this journey has come.

What started as a small business with a big dream has grown into two clinics, an incredible team, and a community of clients who continue to trust us every day. For that, I am incredibly grateful.

It was a privilege to sit alongside such inspiring women, sharing experiences and discussing the realities of business ownership, leadership and growth.

One of my favourite parts of events like this is the reminder that no matter where we are in our careers, there is always something new to learn and someone willing to share their knowledge.

Thank you to Juv’ae, the amazing panel I shared the stage with, and everyone who attended and contributed to the conversation.

From treating clients in a single room to speaking on a stage at The Langham wasn’t something I ever imagined when I started this journey. Feeling incredibly grateful for opportunities like this and excited for what’s ahead.
