Our students had the opportunity to see professional methods demonstrated step-by-step, refine their sectioning and placement skills, and gain valuable tips straight from industry. The hands-on knowledge and insider tricks shared will absolutely elevate their confidence behind the chair.

Barber Expo – Albury 2026
What an incredible afternoon at the Barber Expo Roadshow held at Albury TAFE!
We were proud to take 6 of our students along, and what an experience it was
The energy, the education, and the industry connection were next level.
Our students had the opportunity to watch live demonstrations, see real techniques in action, and gain valuable insight into current barbering trends and career pathways. These real world experiences are so important in building confidence and industry knowledge.
A huge shout out to James, Milo, Patt and Tama for the amazing work on stage.
The skill, professionalism and passion you brought to the room was inspiring for our young barbers.
Thank you to everyone involved in making the event such a success. Opportunities like this truly strengthen our barbering community and support the next generation coming through

After lots of planning, our first WSSC & WMYC Koorie Family Meet and Greet was a huge success!
The evening was fantastic, with around 25 families, several community groups, and staff from both colleges in attendance.
A big thank you to everyone who helped organise and support the event. Special thanks to Claire for bringing it all together so beautifully
We also couldn’t have done it without our amazing student volunteers, who cooked food, offered beauty hair and Barbering treatments, and ran childcare activities for the kids.
Together we learn, celebrate, and grow, here’s to many more events like this!

Our 3/4 Barber students had an amazing day with the gentlemen from the Men’s Shed! They put their barbering skills into action while connecting with the community and bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. A huge thank you to the Men’s Shed for supporting our program and helping make this hands-on learning experience so meaningful! Well done Barbers keep up the good work!

Our VM Barber students had an amazing Salon Day with real clients! They put their learning into practice using teamwork, employability skills, self-management, and personal growth all while delivering professional barbering services. A great real-world experience linking classroom theory to the workplace! A big thank you to our amazing clients.
