It’s that time again – I’m heading off to work at my favourite festival, Ultimate Girls Weekend! 🎉

I’ll be away from today and will be back in the salon on 13th August. During this time, I’ll have limited access to messages, so I’ll get back to all clients as soon as I return.

Today marks 24 years since I became a qualified hairdresser ✂️

Many years of early starts, late finishes, endless foils, colour transformations, big chops, wedding mornings, school formals, and so many beautiful conversations in the chair. It honestly doesn’t feel that long ago that I was starting out, nervous but excited, scissors in hand and ready to give it everything I had.

Looking back, I’m so grateful — not just for the career, but for the people. To every client who has trusted me with their hair over the years, thank you. Whether you’ve been with me since the beginning or found me along the way, your loyalty and support mean more than you know.

They backed me from day one, encouraged me to follow this path, and were some of my very first clients (very brave ones at that!). I couldn’t have done it without your support, belief, and constant encouragement.

To mentors, colleagues, friends, and everyone who has been part of the journey — thank you for the lessons, the laughs, and the memories. ✨

Wow — officially 16 years old today.

Over the past 16 years, we’ve seen so much change in the world of KG. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has stood by me through it all — the faces that have come and gone, the moves, the renovations, the joys, the heartaches, and the amazing clients who have graced my chairs, including those who are no longer with us but will always hold a special place in my heart.

As with any teenager, there is growth happening. Over the coming months there will be some construction changes, and the salon will start to look a little different. I’ll share more details in the coming weeks as plans unfold.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. I’ll be taking a two-week break as of today and will return calls and messages when I’m back on 9 January.

We work with vulnerable clients, and we need to protect everyone’s health – including our own. If one of us gets sick, we have to shut the salon, reschedule appointments, and lose income. It affects not just your appointment, but everyone else’s too.

If you’re sick, we kindly ask that you reschedule. We’ll always do our best to get you back in as soon as possible when you’re well again. 💖

Important Update for 2025
We’d like to inform you of some upcoming changes for the new year. Starting in 2025, Kerryn will be available in the salon on Thursdays and Fridays only.
Due to significant increases in the costs of products, rates, rent, and electricity, there will be a slight increase in the prices for hair services. We’ve worked hard to keep costs as affordable as possible, but these rising expenses have made this adjustment necessary.
Please note that the EFTPOS machine will be discontinued as of February, to allow everyone time to adjust. We will continue to accept payments via cash or bank transfer to help reduce fees and keep costs manageable.
