💡 Sibhon found her spark in Electrotechnology ⚡

“I always knew I wanted to work in the trades... I just didn’t know which one.”

For Sibhon, the spark came from her grandpa, a mechanic who built his own house. One day, he fixed a light and she was hooked. That moment led her to a Certificate II Electrotechnology (Career Start) (UEE22020), and thanks to her Head Teacher Brendon’s encouragement, she’s now thriving in her apprenticeship. 💪🧰

Now working at Newcastle Weighing Services, she’s hands-on with IT hardware, building driver control systems and large-scale weighing equipment for agricultural and waste sites. It’s work that’s challenging, interesting, and rewarding. 🎯

Sibhon has found her place, her passion, and a future she’s excited about. She said, "TAFE NSW has been a huge part of that journey. The teachers are so supportive. They always ask how I’m doing. I know they’ve got my back.”
