We are a solely freelancing hair salon located in Yeerongpilly Brisbane!

Set in a large industrial unit in the creative precinct we have lots of room and chairs readily available for stylists.

Your talent deserves a seat. Renting a chair in our salon gives you the opportunity to build your brand, grow your clientele, and work alongside like-minded stylists with low start up costs for you!

✨What's it like?

Well, We believe salons should be collaborative, fun, creative, colourful, expressive!

We believe stylists should have freedom, flexibility, creative control, be able to be themselves without fear, earn decent income, work the hours they choose, and do the hair they actually like and are good at doing!
Hairdressing is a creative & emotive industry. It's never just a job.

So for us? In our space, what's it like?
Its all of those things!

Is it hard? Yes
Do we get days when we think it would be easier to just work for someone else?
Yes absolutely!
But the good days outweigh the bad.
Being self employed is hard, it's hustle, is renting a chair for everyone?

Honestly no.
As someone who has rented chairs, done commission, rented a suite, been employed.

Renting a chair is not for every stylist.
Just like every space is not for every stylist either.
Some people like their own space, they want their own something.
Working in a collaborative space you still need to be mindful of others & Find the right space that fits how you are as a stylist.

However I always say multiple is better than 1, costs can be lower, you have a team of people to be around,there is more flexibility, no lock in contracts, lower start up fees and more support.

So if you're a stylist who is flexible,enjoys being around others, wants flexibility & freedom with their working schedule, and a creative non clinical type space to work out of, chat to us about renting a chair within our space.

We have RE BRANDED!

Lyttle hair & co has now changed to Co Space Hair

This name represents our space & what we do as a collaborative team of independent stylists.
Lyttle hair & Co started in 2020 as just one independent stylist in a small 20m2 space, since then it's grown to multiple stylists sharing an over 100m2 space and so it was time to change our name!

We are excited for some new changes that are coming!
