I have something new coming in as I have had MANY clients request it.
I will be testing it on a couple regulars and will be looking for models to test full sets!

Now here the thing, UV/LED lashes have been a very controversial topic in my industry, many against and many for it. This industry is ever changing and there still isn’t alot of research on if any long term effects may come from this.

However I have been doing extensive research into it and picked a line I trust. The UV lash glue is registered through Health Canada. Coming to the light beam I have ordered all the protective gear I could possibly have to protect you as a client, however I am going to make this very clear as this is a still a newer system and not a lot of info on long term effects is out yet.

Now from the research I have done the little beam of light system I have ordered is only a wavelength of 5 watts, where gel lamps we use for nails is 54 watts and a tanning bed is 1500-2000 watts.

The beam of light is 2 seconds per lash totally approximately 3 minutes of exposure in a fullset of lashes where our nail lamps takes 30-60 seconds per layer of gel and art work. And a tanning bed is 10-20 minutes of exposure at a very high intensity.
You actually get more UV exposure to your eyelids being outside in the direct sun for 5 minutes per day then the exposure from this system. It is a LED system but Emmitt’s UV wavelengths same as LED nail lamps.

The research is vague in some ways as it is still quite new to the market and if I don’t like it after testing or more information has come out and use for a while I will REMOVE IT from my service list.

This service will be a bit more expensive the traditional lashes as there is more protective wear and equipment needed but it should increase retention rates by a lot.

Now if you are allergic to lash glue I recommend doing a test patch with my as all glues including this glue still has cyonacrylates in it which is what most people have developed and allergy too.

I have been quite sceptical and I’m still right on that fine line as an esthetician on UV lashes, but as an ever changing industry I will try to adapt within reason.
