One of the biggest obstacles to getting started with refilling is the uncertainty about how much it’s going to cost, which we completely understand. Here’s a look at some of our most popular refill products from a variety of different categories with exactly how much it cost to refill !

Refilling works by bringing us your empty, or almost empty bottles and refilling them with items from our curation of natural, non-toxic and eco-friendly home and body products. We put your bottle on the scale, tare it, fill it, weight it and then charge by the weight of what went into the bottle! Because it’s charged by the weight, the exact amount will vary every time you fill depending on the exact amount that goes in, but these numbers here give you an estimate.

And yes, we refill any bottle or jar, you can put your shampoo into an old spaghetti sauce jar (as long as it’s clean) - we don’t judge! The most important thing is using what we already have and limiting the amount of waste we are creating 🌎🌱

Any day that starts with the Abbotsford Farm & Country Market and a coffee is gonna be a good day! This is a pretty typical Saturday for me when I’m at the store - most of the day is devoted to helping all of you get your herbs, teas and refills which is one of my favourite parts of what we do, but there’s always a little time to sneak in a project or two as well 🥰

This particular day I tested a new recipe for a house made nut milk that we’ll be using in all of our fall and winter tea bar drinks (it turned out so good 👀). Then I moved our natural skincare section over to a new shelf and gave it a much needed refresh and reorganize!

Our herbal shrubs are finally here! If you’ve been into the tea bar - you’ve probably seen “herbal shrubs, coming soon” on the menu since May.. better late than never though, right? 🫣💛

Herbal shrubs are traditional way of preserving and enjoying herbs, fruits and other botanicals throughout the year! Shrubs are made by infusing plants into vinegar and then adding a touch of sweetness (usually honey). This results in a bright, tangy, herbaceous concentrate that is incredible with sparkling water - but can also be added to cocktails, mocktails, used in salad dressings and more.

We’re serving up some of our shrubs with sparkling water in the tea bar starting today! Stop by this weekend if you’re in need of a refreshment and want to try something unique. We know drinking vinegar sounds crazy but we promise, it’s actually pretty dang good AND you’re truly nourishing your body! 🌱
