Well, The Mango Market | Artisan Market spilled the beans last night. I was nominated for Abbotsford Business Excellence Award in Home based business category. I am humbled and grateful for this, it means so much to be recognized for doing well what I love the most - taking care of all of you! ♥️ What Amanda forgot to tell you is that Mango Market was nominated too in tourism excellence category! So deserving and exciting!!! ♥️♥️ And, to all of you - I love you all so much, where would I be without you? ♥️♥️♥️

And, just like that, on a foggy morning, the fall and winter soaps are starting to come off the curing racks. Perfect timing for “Maple Chai” - comforting, like a hug from a friend you haven’t seen in while, it wraps you up in a warmth of cinnamon, nutmeg, maple and vanilla dancing with a touch of ginger. ♥️♥️♥️

Sometimes, life gives you a wonky batch of soap. Floral fragrances are notorious for speeding up the thickening of the soap during making it.

I have been working with this particular fragrance for years, and the last batch I made, well, I allowed myself to get haughty and careless, we were working together for so long, I thought we were friends and I could trust it… Sigh. I should have known better… 😩

Long story short, I have about 15 bars of soap that are little misshapen, a little smaller, but nevertheless, the same beautiful “Flower Shoppe” you love. These ones will be sold off at a discount, message me if you would like a bar or two of this rebellious soap.

Autumnal equinox was a few days ago. Many of you will start enjoying your baths more. We’ve got you covered. Three new bath salts coming to The Mango Market | Artisan Market with me tomorrow. Floral? Yes. Citrusy? Yup. Forest? Absolutely. They come in small (so ah-mazing to get one of each if you can’t make up your mind) and large (for those who know who they are and what they like). Tomorrow, rain or shine, 10-3. The last outdoor market of the season.

Feels like a good day to bottle some more perfume that has been mellowing for a while now. Ren Faire broke me a little so I am welcoming a quiet morning. 🤣 This one, No. 6, “Sultry”, has notes of bourbon, sweet strawberries, vanilla, and it is sooooo yummy! I know, I know… I haven’t told you about No. 3 and No. 4. By the way, no, there will be no No. 5, I am not going there… Well, if you come to The Mango Market | Artisan Market this Saturday, September 26, you can see all of the ones I tested, mellowed and bottled so far. This is the last outdoor market of the season, and it will be awesome! You can’t say I didn’t tell you. ♥️♥️♥️

Almost ready for the journey to the village of Errendwick tomorrow… come one, come all!!! It will be a blast! And, yes, you get to see me in a costume. ♥️♥️♥️

Facial steam is back in stock! A beautiful concoction with amazing organic herbals - calendula, lavender, chamomile, jasmine, cornflower, purple heather, what else could you ask for! Just boil about 4 cups of water, put in 1-2 tablespoons of botanicals to steep. Clean your face and drape a towel over your head and lean over the rising steam. You want to be about 10 inches above the pot. Don’t overdo it, 10 minutes or so should do it. Rinse off your face and follow up with a toner (yes, I have that too! 😇). Ah-mazing! Repeat weekly. Your face and sinuses will thank you. Coming with me to Mission Renaissance Faire of course. ♥️♥️♥️
