Behind the Scenes 🎬 A denture is being processed in its mould before the finished appliance is removed, finished, and polished. Our IN-HOUSE Lab doing what they do best.
We tried to break it. 😏
But let’s be clear — dentures can break.
Accidents happen. Dentures get dropped. Teeth can chip. Cracks can develop. And sometimes something breaks at exactly the wrong time.
The good news? Woodside Denture Centre offers same-day denture repairs for many repairs thanks to our fully equipped in-house denture lab in Airdrie.
So if your denture DOES break, don’t reach for the glue.
Reach for Woodside. We’ll help get your smile back where it belongs.

Why Ignoring Loose Dentures Can Be Risky 😦
Many people tolerate loose dentures for years without realizing the risks. Maintaining proper denture cleaning habits can also help preserve comfort and overall oral health.
🪥 Accelerated Bone Loss
🪥Poor-fitting dentures place uneven pressure on the gums and bone.
🪥Increased Irritation
🪥Chronic rubbing can create painful sores and inflammation.
🪥Reduced Nutrition
🪥Avoiding foods due to chewing difficulty may impact nutrition, especially for seniors.
🪥Jaw Pain & Headaches
🪥An unstable bite can strain jaw muscles and joints.
If your dentures feel different than they used to — especially during summer eating and social events — it may be time for a professional checkup.
**We tried to break it. 😏**
Because dentures aren’t made to sit nicely on a shelf.
They’re made for morning coffee. Dinner with friends. Talking. Chewing. Laughing. And all the everyday moments in between.
Your dentures do a lot of work — which is why quality construction and proper fit matter.
**Your dentures should be ready for real life.**

Common Signs Your Dentures Are Becoming Loose 😬
🦷 Dentures Move While Talking
🦷 You may notice shifting during conversations or laughing
🦷 Food Gets Underneath
🦷 This often indicates gaps between the denture and gums.
🦷 Sore Spots Appear
🦷 Loose dentures create friction that irritates soft tissue.
🦷 You Avoid Certain Foods
🦷 Many patients unconsciously stop eating tougher foods when dentures lose stability.
🦷 Adhesive Stops Working as Well
Excessive adhesive use often signals that your dentures may require a professional assessment, adjustment, or denture reline to restore a secure fit. Give us a call for a Free Consultation TODAY!
Healing takes time—and your dentures should support that journey. Join Erika as she explains Temporary Liners and how they are made.
Temporary denture liners add a soft, comfortable cushion while your gums heal and naturally change shape. It's just one of the many ways we help ensure your transition to new dentures is as comfortable as possible.
🦷 Comfort today. Confidence tomorrow.
**We tried to break it. 😏**
But here’s what we’d really like you to notice: **we know exactly how it was made.**
Woodside has a fully equipped in-house denture lab, allowing our team to be involved in the fabrication, fit, and ongoing care of your dentures — all under one roof.
When it comes to something you rely on every day, knowing who’s behind your smile matters.
**Made here. Cared for here. Woodside Denture Centre.**
Impressions: Traditional vs. Digital 🦷
Traditional impressions use trays and material to capture the shape of your mouth.
Digital impressions use advanced scanning technology to create a precise digital model—often with less mess and more comfort.
At Woodside Denture Centre, we use modern technology alongside hands-on expertise to help create dentures designed for a better fit, comfort, and confidence.
