I'm Molly, an 8-year-old Shih Tzu with a black-and-white coat, a heart of gold, and a body that has clearly embraced the "extra snack" lifestyle. I'm what you might call pleasantly plump, extra cuddly, or simply chunky with charm. And before you ask-yes, I'm absolutely adorable.
I came to the shelter as a stray, which is honestly a little confusing because I'm far too fabulous to be wandering around without a family. But here I am, ready to put my stray days behind me and find someone who appreciates all that I have to offer.
For starters, I'm house trained. I believe in keeping my business where it belongs, thank you very much. I'm also an absolute dream for grooming. Baths, brushing, getting beautified-I'm pretty cooperative about the whole thing. Frankly, I think I deserve a little spa day every now and then.
Other dogs? No drama from me. I don't seem to mind having canine companions around. Cats? Also no big deal! I've been non-reactive around cats, so apparently I'm the calm and collected one in this relationship.
But my true calling in life is being a snuggle bug. If there is a cozy blanket, a soft couch, and a human willing to cuddle, I am prepared to report for duty. I'm eight years old, so I've decided I've earned the right to enjoy the finer things in life: comfy beds, leisurely days, good company, and plenty of attention.
So, if you're looking for a sweet, easygoing, house-trained Shih Tzu I think we should talk.

People been really pushing my buttons lately
LOL WHAT
The anxious attachment didn’t start in the relationship. The relationship may have simply revealed the wound that was already there. ❤️🩹
When love, attention, validation or emotional safety felt inconsistent growing up, you may learn to chase connection instead of trusting it.
A father wound can leave you searching for validation and the feeling of finally being chosen.
A mother wound can teach you to people-please, overgive or abandon your own needs to maintain connection.
Then anxious attachment can look like:
• needing constant reassurance
• overthinking changes in someone’s energy
• fearing abandonment
• chasing emotionally unavailable partners
• losing yourself trying to keep someone
• believing you need to “earn” love
Healing isn’t about blaming your parents. It’s about understanding where the pattern began so you can stop repeating it.
You don’t have to keep chasing the love you once had to earn. 🩷
The love you keep pouring into everyone else? Some of it belongs to you. 🤍
Anxious attachment can have you working overtime to feel chosen, reassured and loved. But healing asks you to start turning that same attention inward.
Check on her. Reassure her. Protect her. Choose her.
Your inner child deserves the version of you who no longer abandons herself just to keep someone else. 🎀
That’s where the healing begins.
